Seahawks agreed to terms with DT Junior Siavii on a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old's 2010 season ended with a spinal cord injury. Siavii was a rotational player before that, struggling in run defense. He's never been a pass rusher, so this has to be a familiarity re-signing more than anything else. Thu, Jul 28, 2011 11:54:00 PM

Seahawks placed DT Junior Siavii on injured reserve with a bruised spinal cord, ending his season.

Siavii's stinger injury was the price paid for trying to tackle Michael Turner last week. Claimed off waivers from the Cowboys in September, the 32-year-old totaled 30 tackles as Colin Cole's backup in 14 games.

Seahawks DT Junior Siavii was shaken up in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Siavii was knocked out after trying to tackle Michael Turner. He's out for the game with a neck injury.

Seahawks claimed DT Junior Siavii off waivers from the Cowboys.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Siavii will work in a rotation at nose tackle behind Colin Cole once he gets up to speed in Pete Carroll's 4-3 defense. Siavii has been a 3-4 nose tackle the past few seasons for Jerry Jones' club.

Cowboys re-signed restricted free agent DT Junior Siavii to a one-year, $1.226 million contract.

The 2004 second-rounder finally carved out a role as Jay Ratliff's caddy last season. He's earned a nice raise for his efforts.

Cowboys extended an original draft-pick tender to restricted free agent DT Junior Siavii.

Siavii has never lived up to his second-round draft status, but the Cowboys will bring him back for another season as Jay Ratliff's backup. He's slated to earn $1.101 million this season.

The Cowboys are counting on former second-round bust Junior Siavii to serve as Jay Ratliff's backup at nose tackle.

Siavii has the size (6'5/320 pounds) but has never lived up to expectations. There was no room for him on the roster last year with Tank Johnson around, but he'll be expected to rotate in at nose tackle this season.

Cowboys signed DT Junior Siavii to a reserve/future contract.

Siavii was a huge bust as a second-round pick by the Chiefs in 2004. The 6'5/330-pound monstrosity will get another chance in Dallas' 3-4 scheme.

Former Chiefs DT Junior Siavii met with the Rams Tuesday.

He didn't sign a contract. The 2004 second-round pick was out of the NFL last year. This does show St. Louis isn't satisfied with its condition at nose tackle.

Chiefs DT Junior Siavii is unlikely to make the team.

The mountainous former Oregon Duck, a second-round pick in 2004, is yet another defensive failure from GM Carl Peterson's tenure. The Ravens can only hope Siavii's replacement at school, Haloti Ngata, works out better.

DT Junior Siavii has not yet practiced with the Chiefs.

Siavii's lingering knee troubles combined with an offseason arrest could jeopardize his roster spot.

Chiefs' DT Junior Siavii was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.

As the story goes, he assaulted a doorman last August 14 at a Minneapolis hotel. Siavii, 27, pleaded guilty to a charge of causing fifth-degree "assault fear." The 6-5/336-pounder proceeded to cause "assault fear" in the hearts of running backs on 6 tackles in 2005.

Chiefs declared WR Samie Parker, CB Dexter McCleon, RB Derrick Blaylock, LB Monty Beisel, T Kevin Sampson, TE Kris Wilson, and DT Junior Siavii inactive for week nine.

No major surprises. Kawika Mitchell should start for Beisel at MLB.

The Chiefs signed second round pick DT Junior Siavii to a six-year contract.

The enormous defensive tackle was considered a reach by many draftniks. The 6'5, 336 pound native of America Samoa is already 25 years old, so could make an impact in Kansas City's run defense soon.
