Bengals DT Matthias Askew pled not guilty Monday to charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and two parking violations.

"They are trying to make this look like it was all Matthias' fault," lawyer Ken Lawson said. "So they could justify the use of force. He always complied."

Bengals DT Matthias Askew was tased and arrested Saturday night after an alleged struggle with police.

South Cummingsville Police initially approached Askew regarding a parking violation. The 2004 fourth-round pick refused to comply, electing instead to run from the officers. Askew has been charged with resisting arrest, obstruction, and the parking violation. His arrest follows those of teammates A.J. Nicholson, Chris Henry, and Frostee Rucker, and Odell Thurman's four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
