Jets re-signed CB Hank Poteat.

They just can't quit him. Since joining the Jets two seasons ago, Poteat has fifteen starts, with nine of them coming last season. He has a legitimate shot at starting opposite Darrelle Revis in 2008.

The Jets are close re-signing veteran free agent CB Hank Poteat.

The Jets don't have a clear cut starter opposite Darrelle Revis, and Poteat started eight games last season. The team also remains interested in DB Ty Law, but his return to New York seems unlikely at this point.

Jets re-signed CB Hank Poteat to a one-year, $635,000 contract.

Poteat is picked up during the season every year by the Pats or Jets, so Eric Mangini is getting the move out of the way early. He started some games in 2006, but New York will hope he's a reserve next season.
