The Giants may move DT Cullen Jenkins to defensive end in 2014.
Jenkins has played end before, although only in 3-4 schemes. The Giants run a 4-3 under coordinator Perry Fewell. The move would likely be designed to offset free agent LE Justin Tuck's departure, with Jenkins presumably kicking inside on all passing downs. He's a much better interior pass rusher. Giants DT Cullen Jenkins is in a walking boot Monday.

"I think just a little tendon something, knee and Achilles," Jenkins said. "Hopefully like I said, just a couple days, get this thing treated, and get back going." Jenkins is a key part of the Giants' defensive tackle rotation. All four of Jenkins, Mike Patterson, Linval Joseph, and Shaun Rogers have received positive grades from Pro Football Focus through four weeks.

Giants signed DT Cullen Jenkins to a three-year, $8 million contract.

The deal includes $3 million guaranteed. Although Jenkins is wearing down at age 32, he still recorded 30 quarterback pressures and four sacks for the Eagles a year ago. In New York, he'll slide right in as a starter next to Linval Joseph, filling Chris Canty's shoes. Jenkins' arrival is a boost to a Giants pass rush that already has DEs Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck in place.

The Packers are reportedly not interested in bringing back free agent DL Cullen Jenkins.

Around 6PM ET Sunday, Jenkins tweeted "Next chapter beginning??? I think so." Perhaps he's reading Fifty Shades of Grey -- or close to signing with a new team. There are as many as six teams in the mix for the versatile interior lineman, but none are the Packers. Jenkins spent the first seven years of his career in Green Bay before becoming part of the Eagles' failed "Dream Team" experiment.

Free agent DL Cullen Jenkins is scheduled to visit the Raiders Wednesday.

Jenkins is making use of his time in the Northwest. He also visited the Seahawks on Monday and the 49ers Wednesday following last week's meeting with the Giants. Jenkins' ability to rush the passer from the interior is appealing.

Free agent DL Cullen Jenkins is scheduled to visit the Seahawks on Monday and 49ers on Tuesday.

Jenkins met with the Giants on Friday, and is reported to have as many as six possible suitors. According to Pro Football Focus, Jenkins recorded 30 quarterback pressures last season, four of which he converted for sacks.

Updating a previous item, free agent DL Cullen Jenkins' visit with the Giants has ended and he will visit other teams this coming week.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported earlier that Jenkins has six other suitors, but the identity of those teams is unknown. Jenkins, 32, has proven to be a hot commodity since his Monday release from the Eagles.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says free agent Cullen Jenkins has six other suitors in addition to the Giants, who he is visiting on Friday.

None of the unknown six are said to be the Packers. Jenkins is interested in returning to the Packers, but the feeling doesn't appear to be mutual. GM Ted Thompson doesn't like signing players on the wrong side of 30, even though Jenkins would add some needed interior pass rush help.

Free agent DL Cullen Jenkins will visit the Giants this week.

It's Jenkins' first known visit since being released by the Eagles on Monday. The interior of New York's defensive line is filled with a few unknowns in Shaun Rogers, Markus Kuhn, and Marvin Austin next to starter Linval Joseph. Jenkins still has some pass rush skill as a 32-year-old, and he can sign immediately.

Free agent DE Cullen Jenkins is interested in returning to the Packers.

Jenkins never wanted to leave Green Bay in 2011, and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel isn't shooting down the notion of a reunion. Particularly with Jerel Worthy coming off a major knee injury, Jenkins could help the Packers at right end.

Eagles released DT Cullen Jenkins.

Jenkins' time in Philadelphia ends just two years into a five-year, "$25 million" deal. The Eagles are still on the hook for $1.5 million guaranteed in Jenkins' contract, but the move saves $4.1 million in cap space. Part of the Eagles' ballyhooed 2011 free agent class, Jenkins ended up tallying 9.5 sacks in 32 games. He registered seven sacks in 11 contests for the Packers during his walk year in 2010. The emergence of Fletcher Cox and the Eagles' abandonment of the "Wide 9" made Jenkins wholly expendable. Still a decent enough pass rusher, 32-year-old Jenkins should draw interest as a role player. We wouldn't rule out a return to Green Bay.

Eagles DT Cullen Jenkins (knee) returned to a full practice Saturday and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Saints.

Jenkins hyperextended his knee in the Eagles' Week 8 loss to the Falcons, but practiced Friday and Saturday and is expected to be active, barring any setbacks. Jenkins will start opposite first-round rookie Fletcher Cox, who was promoted to the starting lineup this week.

The Eagles are giving DT Cullen Jenkins camp and preseason reps at defensive end this summer.

"He gives you a little bit in the run game," coach Andy Reid said. "Just a big body, and he is athletic enough where he can still pass rush from out there." Jenkins' primary position will remain three-technique tackle in base packages, but he's shown capable of rushing the passer from the perimeter on occasion. Jenkins' versatility could end up saving the Eagles a roster spot.

Eagles DT Cullen Jenkins says he's still signed through 2015 following the restructure of his contract, though the Philadelphia Inquirer reports he's now signed through only 2014.

We'll believe the paper on this one. Official details should emerge within the next day or two. Jenkins also said he wants to retire an Eagle. "I want to finish my career as an Eagle. That’s definitely something we took into consideration." If Jenkins' deal is still structured anything like it was before Tuesday, it's likely his contract includes minimal guarantees beyond 2012.

Eagles agreed to a restructured contract with DT Cullen Jenkins.

Details are unavailable, but Jenkins was due a $5 million roster bonus on March 13, which on top of his $2.75 million base salary would have given him a prohibitive 2012 cap number of $7.75 million. Essentially playing on a one-year deal last season since the "five-year, $30 million" pact he signed in July was not guaranteed beyond 2011 and didn't include a signing bonus, Jenkins performed well, notching 40 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
