Sellers, who turns 37 in July, appeared in 12 games last season, catching only one pass for 15 yards. A Redskin for 11 of his 12 career NFL seasons, Sellers figures to retire. He was a versatile, H-back type during his prime, contributing on special teams and operating some as a short-yardage back. Sellers scored 21 career touchdowns, 18 as a receiver and three as a runner.

This won't end well. The Skins want Darrel Young to be their new first-string lead blocker, and Keiland Williams is taking reps there, too. Sellers, 36, is due a $950,000 salary and has almost no chance to win a roster spot at one of the Skins' deepest positions. He's likely played his last snap in D.C.

Sellers played just a third of the offensive snaps last season, and that percentage figures to decrease in favor of more three-receiver and two-tight end formations in 2011. Sellers is due just under $1 million, so the 'Skins can save a few bucks by cutting the 36-year-old.

The Redskins don't have a backup fullback, so tight end Todd Yoder will fill in. Yoder is a noted blocking specialist, so Sellers' absence won't adversely affect the ground attack this week.

The 34-year-old won't make it to the end of the deal, which now runs through 2014, but it appeases his offseason demands. Sellers sat out voluntary OTA work because he wanted a new deal. Sellers is a fine lead blocker and reliable in short yardage, but rarely gets the ball. He saw 18 touches in 2008.

Redskins FB Mike Sellers is boycotting voluntary offseason workouts because he's unhappy with his contract.

Sellers signed a four-year, $4 million contract in 2007, but he has since changed agents to Drew Rosenhaus. After a 2008 Pro Bowl selection, he wants a raise. The Redskins have a mandatory minicamp next weekend, so we'll find out how serious Sellers is.

FB Sellers made the most of his limited opportunities on this night. The touchdown catch was a nice play, but Sellers is not a fantasy option.

Sellers participated in Wednesday's walkthrough and will rejoin the team at practice today. Sellers actually wanted to play last week, but the Redskins confiscated his helmet and wouldn't give it back.

Redskins FB Mike Sellers jogged off the field after suffering a concussion early in the third quarter Sunday night.

The injury looked eerily similar to the one suffered by Kevin Everett earlier this year, but Sellers was moving his legs and eventually got to his feet to leave under his own power. He argued with the medical staff about returning, according to NBC's Andrea Kremer, but the coaches won't let him back in.
