Bengals re-signed CB Pacman Jones to a three-year contract.
Jones quietly had an excellent season in 2012, grading out as the best corner in the Bengals' No. 7 secondary. He'll be 30 in September, but shouldn't have a problem sustaining a high level of play as the No. 3 man behind starters Leon Hall and Dre Kirkpatrick. Jones also contributes in the return game, where he ranked seventh in the league at 11.6 yards per punt return last year. Mar 21 - 10:31 AM

A source tells Bengals.com that both sides are "working hard" to re-sign free agent CB Pacman Jones.

Jones has attracted no known interest from the outside on the open market. It's not a surprise thanks to his checkered off-field history and advancing age (30 in September). Jones did grade out as the Bengals' best corner last year, well ahead of Terence Newman and Leon Hall.

Bengals.com reports Cincinnati would like to re-sign free agent CB Pacman Jones, and that the sides will meet at the Combine.

The Bengals gambled on Jones three years ago and were rewarded with his first productive season in over half a decade in 2012. Going on 30, Pacman is going to want to get paid, but there's every reason to believe he'll be more valuable to the Bengals than anyone else.

The Cincinnati Enquirer expects the Bengals to work hard to re-sign free agent CBs Pacman Jones and Terence Newman.

This puts the Enquirer in agreement with Bengals.com. Both Jones and Newman proved to be surprisingly effective in 2012, while the Bengals would have vanishingly little veteran depth at corner if they were allowed to walk. The price should be right for both players.

Bengals CB Pacman Jones exited Saturday's Wild Card game with a left hamstring injury and was deemed doubtful to return.

It's a big in-game loss for Cincinnati, which utilizes Jones at right cornerback on all passing downs with Leon Hall moving inside to the slot. Jones was covering Andre Johnson for most of the game. Jones, 29 years old and in a contract year, has quietly had a solid season as the Bengals' nickel corner.

Bengals RCB Pacman Jones (hamstring) was a late addition to the Week 16 injury report and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Pacman was officially listed as "limited" in Friday's practice, hinting at an in-practice injury. It appears he'll be a game-time decision against the Steelers. Jones has quietly been one of the primary reasons for Cincinnati's second-half defensive surge. His absence would upgrade Mike Wallace's matchup.

Pacman Jones was forced from the Bengals' Week 10 game against the Giants with a left calf injury, and will not return.

Pacman departed late in the fourth quarter. Operating as the Bengals' No. 3/4 corner this season, Jones entered Week 10 with 11 tackles and zero picks. He's likely day-to-day.

Pacman Jones is entering training camp squarely on the roster bubble.

Jones battled a hamstring injury during OTAs and hasn't been able to stay healthy the last four seasons. He'll face competition from Brandon Ghee, Terence Newman, and Jason Allen for the Bengals' nickel corner job.

The lawyer for Bengals CB Pacman Jones says the $11.7 million civil judgment handed down against her client is a "devastating amount for him financially."

"People perceive him as a person who is able to pay $11 million," Jones' lawyer said. "(He) doesn't even get paid until he plays his first game." Jones has made over $11.7 million in his career, but is guaranteed just $700,000 in 2012. Three months shy of his 29th birthday, Pacman would likely have to play well into his thirties to have any chance of paying the entire settlement.

Bengals CB Pacman Jones has been ordered to pay $11.7 million for his role in a 2007 strip-club shooting.

"So, basically, the judge made it rain," Adam Schefter quipped. We'd guess the would-be collectors will have trouble getting their money, but then we'd be stepping out of line. Jones will make $700K this year, if he makes the Bengals.

Bengals agreed to terms with CB Pacman Jones.

The Bengals preferred Jones to free agents Kelly Jennings and Terence Newman. With Jason Allen already signed and the possibility of an early-round draft pick, Jones will have plenty of competition to keep the nickelback job. Per Pro Football Focus, Jones allowed just 16 receptions on 505 snaps last year.

The Bengals are in discussions with free agent CB Pacman Jones about a new contract.

Jones isn't known to have taken free agent visits with other clubs, so the Bengals should get him back at a reasonable rate. Free agent CBs Terence Newman and Kelly Jennings are not on the "front burner" for the Bengals right now.

Free agent Pacman Jones pleaded guilty to his role in a July, 2011 bar scuffle in Cincinnati.

Jones earned probation and a stern lecture from the judge, who called Jones' actions "foolish" and "unprofessional." The conviction could violate the terms of Jones' Nevada probation. It certainly won't help Pacman in free agency, especially after he was toasted by Andre Johnson in the Bengals' season-ending loss.

Bengals CB Pacman Jones (hamstring) is expected to be active for Week 11 after sitting out the past two weeks.

With Leon Hall (Achilles) done for the season, Jones should get a chance to establish himself as the Bengals' primary nickel back behind starters Nate Clements and Kelly Jennings. He'll also contribute in the return game.

Pacman Jones' trial for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and resisting arrest stemming from a July 9 incident in Ohio has been postponed until January 18.

Pacman avoided jail time in Nevada for violating his probation, but he still must go through with the trial in Ohio. His Nevada probation ends Feb. 23.
