Roddy White (knee) returned to practice Thursday.
He was officially limited. White was just taking a maintenance day Wednesday. The knee doesn't appear to be a real issue, but the 33-year-old's upside is capped by a lack of juice in his legs. Dec 18 - 11:52 AM

Date:

Roddy White (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

It's a new injury for White, who played 57-of-60 snaps in Week 15. White will be a top-25 receiver play if Julio Jones (hip) doesn't return this week.
Dec 17 - 1:55 PM

Roddy White caught seven passes for 58 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons' Week 15 loss to the Steelers.

He was targeted 10 times, but still finished second on the team behind Harry Douglas (14) in the category with Julio Jones (hip) inactive. White worked mostly against CB Antwon Blake, who was filling in for Ike Taylor on Sunday. White's score came from four yards away in the fourth quarter. He'll be a WR2/3 next week against the Saints, whom he posted 6-72-1 against in the season opener.
Dec 14 - 5:24 PM

Roddy White (ankle) remained limited on Thursday.

The Falcons are limiting White's reps after he escaped Monday's loss without setbacks. White has admitted he's not 100 percent, but played 63-of-67 snaps against the Packers. He'll be a target hog against the Steelers if Julio Jones (hip) can't suit up.
Dec 11 - 4:12 PM

Roddy White (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

It confirms White didn't have any setbacks in Monday night's loss. With Julio Jones up in the air for Week 15, he could see an increase in targets. White is on the WR2 radar against the Steelers.
Dec 10 - 3:23 PM

Roddy White conceded he's not 100 percent healthy.

White has been battling an ankle issue the past few weeks, but played 63-of-67 snaps Monday night against the Packers. He'll be in the lineup for Week 15 against the Steelers, and the Falcons may have to lean on him even more if Julio Jones (hip) is unable to play. White will run most of his routes at the left cornerback, which will either be Ike Taylor or Antwon Blake on Sunday. The matchup doesn't get much tastier. White will be on the WR2 radar at the Georgia Dome.

Dec 10 - 10:06 AM

Roddy White caught three passes for 42 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons' Week 14 loss to the Packers.

Making his return from an ankle injury, White was targeted five times, while Julio Jones was just destroying the Packers' secondary for an 11-259-1 line on 17 targets. White didn't catch his touchdown until after Jones was forced from the game midway through the fourth quarter with a hip injury. White didn't appear 100 percent himself, but he should be fine for Week 15 against the Steelers. He projects to run most of his routes against LCB Ike Taylor, providing Taylor is healthy after hurting his knee Sunday. Taylor has been beaten like a drum the past two weeks.
Dec 9 - 1:04 AM

Roddy White (ankle) is active for Monday night's Week 14 game against the Packers.

As expected. White is back in the lineup after sitting out Week 13. He'll be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3, but at least the Falcons should be throwing the ball a lot Monday night. Inactive for the Falcons are CB Robert Alford (wrist), QB Sean Renfree, S Charles Godfrey, LB Tyler Starr, OT Jonathan Scott, DE Stansly Maponga, and LB Justin Anderson.
Dec 8 - 7:02 PM

ESPN's Lisa Salters reported Roddy White (questionable, ankle) will be active on Monday Night Football against the Packers.

This was expected after Roddy practiced on Saturday and essentially guaranteed he will play at Lambeau. Salters also reported Packers RCB Sam Shields (concussion) will play on Monday night. The Packers are whopping 13-point favorites facing the Falcons. White will be a candidate for double-digit targets, particularly if Green Bay jumps out to an early-game lead.
Dec 8 - 4:08 PM

Roddy White insisted Saturday there are no doubts about his status for Monday night's game at Lambeau.

White has previously instructed fantasy owners not to start him if he doesn't practice. But this week, he ran extensively on the side of Friday's practice and participated in Saturday's session. "I don't have any doubts," White said. "I'm just trying to get us a win, man. No doubts. The only doubt in my mind is the cold, man." The spot is difficult for an entire Falcons passing game that struggles outdoors, but White is a passable WR3. Just make sure you have Harry Douglas rostered in case Roddy has a setback.

Dec 7 - 9:39 AM

Roddy White (ankle) was listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Packers.

Roddy White practiced on Saturday and said he has no doubts about playing on Monday night. He will likely suit up, but White is a high-risk WR3 against Green Bay.
Dec 6 - 12:14 PM

Roddy White (ankle) is practicing on Saturday.

White "ran extensively" on a side field on Friday, and was spotted wearing a helmet on his way to the practice field Saturday. White will likely be listed as a limited participant, but any practice puts him on track to play Monday night in Green Bay. He will be a high-risk WR3 against the Packers.
Dec 6 - 11:25 AM

Falcons coach Mike Smith said Friday he expects Roddy White (ankle) to play in Week 14 at Green Bay.

Of course, Smith said last Friday he was "confident" White would play Sunday against Arizona, and Roddy didn't. White does seem to be trending in the right direction for Monday night's game at Lambeau Field, but we'd really like to see him practice on Saturday before recommending him as a fantasy start.
Dec 5 - 1:49 PM

Updating a previous item, the Falcons listed Roddy White (ankle) as did not practice on Friday.

Coach Mike Smith did say White "ran extensively" on a side field, perhaps in anticipation of practicing on Saturday. The Packers and Falcons play on Monday Night Football this week. White is almost surely going to be listed as questionable tomorrow. If he returns to practice, he'll be a good bet to play. If he does not, fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere.
Dec 5 - 1:23 PM

Roddy White (ankle) returned to practice Friday.

He was limited to mostly catching passes. Observers said White still looked to be favoring the ankle. The Falcons and Packers kick off on Monday night, so White has an extra day to rest. He's optimistic he'll play. If he suits up, White will be a borderline, high-risk WR2/3. There's a chance he could just be a decoy.
