Roddy White secured 9-of-15 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 7 loss to Baltimore.
With Julio Jones much less of a factor this week, Roddy took over as Matt Ryan's featured weapon on short and intermediate routes. His touchdown was a three-yarder essentially in garbage time, and Atlanta's lone score of the game. White has been much more WR3 than WR2 in 2014, but it's at least promising to see him turn in a productive week. He'll be a WR2/3 in Week 8 against the Lions. Oct 19 - 4:09 PM

Roddy White admits he's gotten off to a "really slow start," and that he's "got to turn my game around."

"Not one of my favorable years that I'm having," White said. "I've got to get back to just being myself — go out there and just cut it loose — and whatever happens, happens." White is one of the league's more candid players, and his assessment of his play is absolutely correct. White has an impressive pedigree to fall back on, but is increasingly prone to nicks and bruises. Until proven otherwise, he's a low-end WR2 who could fall to WR3 status.

Roddy White caught 3-of-6 targets for 40 yards in Atlanta's Week 6 loss to the Bears.

One of White's missed targets was a ball he alligator armed in the face of a big hit, but he ended up taking a (legal) head shot, anyways. He was briefly evaluated on the sideline before being allowed to remain in the game. Having missed one game with a hamstring issue, White is now sitting on an unimpressive 19/253/2 line through the season's first six weeks. With the Falcons' terrible protection affecting Matt Ryan's passing, White is beginning to look more like a WR3 than WR2.

Roddy White caught 2-of-4 targets for 26 yards in Atlanta's Week 5 loss to the Giants.

He was targeted once right at the goal line, but the pass was broken up by Giants defenders. Roddy promised he would score a touchdown entering the week, but came up short. After being targeted 14 times in Atlanta's Week 4 game, Roddy was only targeted four times Sunday as Julio Jones was the obvious centerpiece of the offense. Expect a bounce back in Week 6 against Chicago.

Roddy White says he's going to score a touchdown this week against the Giants.

White has practiced in full each and every day this week for the first time all season. With health on his side, he's confident. The Giants will likely stick Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on Julio Jones, leaving Prince Amukamara to contend with White. Amukamara was once a whipping boy, but has been steady the past two seasons and is PFF's No. 4 corner. White is a back-end WR2.

Oct 3 - 10:12 AM

Roddy White practiced on a Wednesday this week for the first time all season.

It confirms White's hamstring is fully healthy heading into Week 5. He has a tough matchup on the road against an elite corner duo of Prince Amukamara and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but is always a fine WR2 option as the No. 2 target for Matt Ryan.
Oct 2 - 11:48 AM

Roddy White caught four passes for 73 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons' Week 4 loss to Minnesota.

White was targeted a team-high 12 times on the afternoon, but Xavier Rhodes and company did a good job in coverage. He broke free for a wide-open 24-yard touchdown in the first quarter on a miscommunication by the Vikings. White's hamstring appeared to be a non-issue. White is a premier WR2 option. The Falcons are going to chuck it all season. They travel to the Giants in Week 5.
Sep 28 - 8:33 PM

Roddy White (hamstring) is listed as probable for Week 4 against the Vikings.

Coach Mike Smith already stated early Friday morning that White will "absolutely" start against Minnesota. He seems to be just about over the hamstring injury that forced him to miss Week 3. Fire White up as a WR2, even though the Vikings have been playing pretty solid pass defense under coach Mike Zimmer.
Sep 26 - 12:27 PM

Coach Mike Smith said on Friday that Roddy White (hamstring) will "absolutely" start Week 4 at the Vikings.

White has gotten in two limited practice sessions to start the week, putting him on track to return after missing the Falcons' Week 3 rout of the Bucs. The Vikings play outdoors now, which doesn't make the matchup as comfy for Atlanta. But White is still a back-end boom-or-bust WR2 option as our No. 19 receiver.
Sep 26 - 8:44 AM

Roddy White (hamstring) got in his second straight practice on Thursday.

He remained "limited." Either way, White is fully on track to return against the Vikings after sitting out on a short week in Week 3. Struggling to stay healthy the past two seasons, White is shaping up as a boom-or-bust WR2.
Sep 25 - 1:39 PM

Roddy White (hamstring) said he feels ready to play in Sunday's game against the Vikings.

White's hamstring strain was never considered serious, but he sat out last Thursday as the Falcons were on a very short week. He's practicing this week, a sign that he'll be good to go. Remember that last year, Roddy warned fantasy owners not to start him if he doesn't practice.
Sep 25 - 11:36 AM

Roddy White (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

White is expected to return this week after missing last Thursday night's game. He likely would have played had the Falcons not been on a short week. White will be a WR2 in a matchup against Minnesota.
Sep 24 - 1:48 PM

Roddy White (hamstring) was held out of Monday's practice.

It was just an informal session for the Falcons coming off the Thursday night game, but it would have been nice to see White get some reps. White has said he expects to return for Week 4, but his Wednesday practice status will be telling. He needs to get in at least a limited session.
Sep 22 - 2:44 PM

Roddy White (hamstring) expects to play in Week 4.

Speaking after Thursday's blowout win, coach Mike Smith implied White would have played had the Falcons not been on a short week. He now has 10 days to get ready for Atlanta's Week 4 trip to Minnesota. A former iron man, White hasn't been anyone's idea of durable over the past two seasons, but is a cinch WR2 whenever he's healthy and playing opposite all-world beast Julio Jones.
Sep 19 - 12:07 AM

Roddy White (hamstring) is inactive for Week 3 against the Bucs.

The Falcons had intimated all week that White would suit up, but that changed on Thursday afternoon. White should return for Week 4, but the former iron man has now missed four of the Falcons' past 19 games, and played at less than 100 percent in many more. His absence leaves Julio Jones as a target monster, and Harry Douglas as a legitimate WR3. Devin Hester will run deep routes as the Falcons' No. 3 receiver. Also inactive for the Falcons are QB Sean Renfree, CB Javier Arenas, LB Tyler Starr, C James Stone, OT Ryan Schraeder and DT Cliff Matthews.
