Lions signed CB Justin Miller.
A second-round pick way back in 2005, Miller hasn't appeared in a game since 2009. He'll provide depth for a Lions team that's extremely thin in the secondary, but out of live game action for so long, it's hard to see Miller contributing outside of special teams. Mon, Oct 22, 2012 04:06:00 PM

Lions signed CB/KR Justin Miller, formerly of the Cardinals.

Miller was out of football all last season, and hasn't played an NFL snap since 2009. A shaky cover man with some special teams value, he's likely just a camp body until the Lions find someone better to replace Aaron Berry.

Cardinals waived CB Justin Miller, CB Trevor Ford, WR Mike Jones, WR Onrea Jones, and WR Isaiah Williams.

A former second-round pick, Miller's career has bottomed out as an annual September cut. The three receivers here were all big roster long shots.

Cardinals signed CB Justin Miller to a one-year contract.

Arizona needed some veteran depth at cornerback, but Miller isn't going to help. At his best as a return specialist, the injury-prone 26-year-old doesn't figure to pose much competition for Greg Toler or Michael Adams.

Free agent KR/CB Justin Miller will participate in the Cardinals' upcoming rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

Miller, 26, was a Pro Bowl returner for the Jets in 2006, but hasn't been the same since sustaining a complicated toe injury in 2008. The Cards drafted their punt returner of the future over the weekend, snapping up Andre Roberts in the fourth round. Miller is more of a kickoff return prospect.

Former Jets KR Justin Miller was waived Saturday because he missed a morning meeting, a source tells Rod Boone of Newsday.

Miller was in line to return kicks this week, but it looks like he only has himself to blame. David Clowney and Brad Smith are expected to be the primary kick returners now.

Jets waived KR Justin Miller.

Miller was picked up when Leon Washington (leg) went down for the year, and it's unclear why he was dumped. The Jets just talked two days ago about using him as their kick returner this week. Miller will probably get a nibble from another team looking for a kick returner soon.

Jets declared CB/KR Justin Miller, DB Ahmad Carroll, LB Vernon Gholston, LB Ryan Fowler, OL Matt Slauson, RB Danny Woodhead, QB Kevin O'Connell and QB Erik Ainge inactive for Week 10 against the Jaguars.

Brad Smith is active and may get a chance to return punts with Miller out. Lito Sheppard will play, but won't start over Dwight Lowery.

Raiders re-signed CB/KR Justin Miller.

He will replace Johnathan Holland on kickoff returns. Miller isn't much of an option on defense, leaving the Raiders with just three capable corners.

According to linebacker Thomas Howard, the Raiders will re-sign CB/KR Justin Miller.

Howard tweeted "RaiderNation let’s welcome back #22 Justin Miller. He’ll be returning KickOffs for us this week." Miller was released by the the Raiders at final cuts.

Raiders released CB Justin Miller.

Miller, a second-round pick by the Jets in 2005, is an above-average return man and can play some corner. He returned two kicks for touchdowns for the Raiders last season. He'll probably find a special teams job somewhere.

Raiders re-signed CB Justin Miller to a two-year contract.

Miller, a sub-package corner with Pro Bowl-caliber return value, signed the deal weeks ago. Oakland is oddly not announcing transactions this spring.

Free agent CB Justin Miller visited the Titans on Wednesday.

He would be a natural replacement for Chris Carr, who is shopping himself around the league. Miller can return kicks and be a deep backup at corner.
