In addition to QB Jevan Snead, the Seahawks also worked out free agent WR Reggie Brown this week.
Brown has had plenty of tryouts this year, but he hasn't spent time on an NFL roster since the Bucs cut him before the season. His career has fizzled out before his 30th birthday. Thu, Dec 23, 2010 01:11:00 PM

Rams worked out free agent WRs Reggie Brown and Yamon Figurs on Tuesday.

No signing is imminent. The Rams have paraded free agent receivers through their headquarters since the season started. Also working out Tuesday: DT Damione Lewis, LB Eric Alexander, CB Cletis Gordon, DT Dre Moore, and DT Jimmy Saddler.

The Vikings will work out free agent WR Reggie Brown on Tuesday.

Brown couldn't beat out Micheal Spurlock, Maurice Stovall, or Sammie Stroughter in Bucs camp, so it's safe to say he wouldn't be much of an asset for the Vikes. It's believed the Rams also want to give the 29-year-old a look.

Bucs released WR Reggie Brown.

It's never a good sign when you're considered the seventh-best receiver on a team that will start Sammie Stroughter and kept names like Micheal Spurlock and Preston Parker on the roster instead. Though Brown is still just 29, he can't have much left in the tank. He may not find a new home anytime soon.

Reggie Brown is expected to get the start opposite Mike Williams Saturday in place of Maurice Stovall (ankle).

Sammie Stroughter will stay in the slot, and rookie Arrelious Benn will work with the second team once again. Williams is the only Bucs receiver worth drafting this year.

Reggie Brown has impressed the Bucs coaching staff with a strong showing in OTAs the past two months.

"As a coaching staff, we see it on film," said receivers coach Eric Yarber. "He's open a lot." Head coach Raheem Morris has also been impressed with Brown's hands and route running. Brown had a shot at a fantasy impact before the Bucs added two high-impact rookies. Now he's likely to battle Sammie Stroughter for the No. 3 role.

Bucs GM Mark Dominik confirmed that WR Reggie Brown will compete for a starting job this summer.

Dominik indicated that Brown could end up as the first, second, or third receiver depending on performance. If the team fails to pick up another quality option in free agency or the draft, Brown should actually be the favorite to ascend to No. 1. He could end up as a borderline fantasy WR3 based simply on volume.

Buccaneers acquired WR Reggie Brown from the Eagles in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Brown, 29, fell out of the Eagles' receiver rotation in 2008 following three pedestrian seasons as a starter to begin his career, and caught just nine balls in seven games last year. While not a difference-making talent, the 2005 No. 35 overall pick is a worthwhile pickup for a Bucs team that currently has the league's weakest receiver corps. Brown could ascend to a starting job in Tampa Bay with a good offseason and perhaps approach WR5 fantasy value.

Reggie Brown caught one pass for 13 yards in Sunday's win over the 49ers.

Brown started in place of Jeremy Maclin (foot), but Jason Avant was on the field much more. The Eagles haven't trusted Brown since 2007 and he's not a fantasy option even with Maclin out.

Coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday that Reggie Brown will replace Jeremy Maclin (foot) as the Eagles' starting split end in Week 15.

He'll rotate with Jason Avant and Kevin Curtis, however, and would be a poor fantasy gamble against a San Francisco pass defense that's held both Kurt Warner and Matt Hasselbeck under 200 yards in the last two games. The forecast for Lincoln Financial Field is also calling for a 70% chance of snow and winds in the 17MPH range. Leave Brown, Avant, and Curtis benched.

Reggie Brown caught two passes for 64 yards in Sunday's win over the Falcons.

Brown started in a two-wide receiver set, but only because Jeremy Maclin nicked an ankle on his first punt return. Brown dropped a third-down pass on a crossing route, which is the very thing that got him in the doghouse in the first place. He came back to make two nice catches, but isn't a great option even if DeSean Jackson sits again next week. Jason Avant played a lot of snaps out wide.
Sun, Dec 6, 2009 04:19:00 PM's Adam Caplan expects Reggie Brown to be the Eagles' starting flanker in Week 13 should DeSean Jackson (concussion) sit out.

Jason Avant would stay in the slot, with Jeremy Maclin at split end. Maclin and Avant might get more plays called for them, but Brown would be worth WR3 consideration against a porous Atlanta secondary. He's worth a pickup.

Eagles beat writer Les Bowen says that Reggie Brown is probably the player the Eagles are most likely to move at the deadline.

It's not going to happen. The Eagles would take a huge cap hit by dealing Brown, and we're pretty sure no one wants to give up anything for a receiver that is struggling to be active on game days. Brown will remain the Birds' fifth receiver until he gets cut. Coach Andy Reid did say that the team is looking to make a deal Tuesday, but gave no details.

Eagles declared WR Reggie Brown, WR Brandon Gibson, S Sean Jones, LB Joe Mays, RT Shawn Andrews, G Mike McGlynn, OL Todd Herremans and DE Jason Babin inactive.

No surpise here. The Eagles are trying to trade Brown, a former second-round pick, but have found no takers so far. Mays lost out to Omar Gaither for the starting MLB job and then got hurt. Shawn Andrews' back has flared up again, meaning Winston Justice will get the start. The Panthers will attack him with Julius Peppers when they can.

Eagles WR Reggie Brown traveled with the team to Carolina, squashing speculation that he would be cut.

The Eagles still have seven receivers on their roster. They don't want to just release Brown because they think he's worth something in a trade, but no one has bit yet. Now that he's still on the team, his contract for this season is guaranteed. It's unlikely Brown will be active Sunday.
