Ravens S Sean Considine is listed as probable for Monday Night Football.
Considine missed the final two weeks of preseason with a concussion, but managed to beat out rookie Omar Brown for a spot on the 53-man roster. The Ravens are planning on using Considine in the Tom Zbikowski role this season as a key cog on special teams. Sat, Sep 8, 2012 07:32:00 PM

Date:

Ravens signed S Sean Considine to a one-year contract.

Considine, 29, can play both strong and free safety in a pinch, and contribute on special teams. He's the Ravens' replacement for Tom Zbikowski.

Cardinals signed S Sean Considine.

Arizona needs depth at the position with FS Kerry Rhodes out at least a month following foot surgery. If Considine does play, it will likely be on special teams.

Panthers released S Sean Considine.

Considine was brought in due to his familiarity with DC Sean McDermott's scheme, but he was limited to special teams duty through four weeks. He didn't have a tackle in four games.

Panthers re-signed S Sean Considine.

Considine's release on Monday had more to do with a numbers crunch than him losing his spot. He returns to a backup safety and special teams role while Stevie Brown was somewhat surprisingly released.

Panthers released S Sean Considine.

It's a bad sign for Considine that he can't stick with old Eagles buddy Sean McDermott, who is now Carolina's defensive coordinator. Considine is a backup-caliber safety at best that is a major liability in coverage.

Panthers agreed to terms with S Sean Considine on a one-year contract.

Considine was part of the Jaguars' disastrous secondary a year ago and won't be asked to start in Carolina. He does have first-team experience though, with 28 career starts under his belt. The main reason for Considine's addition is his familiarity with the scheme. He's played for DC Sean McDermott before.

Free agent S Sean Considine is not expected back with the Jaguars.

Considine is a liability in coverage and gets run over easily. About the only thing he'll have going for him in free agency is starting experience on his resume.

Following Saturday's release of Gerald Alexander and trade of Reggie Nelson, Sean Considine is penciled in as the Jaguars' starting free safety.

This has trouble written all over it. Considine is willing to stick his nose into trouble, but gets run over easily and is a liability in coverage. The Jags' secondary is going to be one to exploit on a weekly basis. Courtney Greene and perhaps corner Tyron Brackenridge should be pushing Considine shortly.

Jaguars SS Sean Considine (concussion) is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Texans.

Gerald Alexander will step back in for Considine, and he may keep the job for good. Alexander had been starting for five straight weeks until mid-November, when he suffered a shoulder injury.

Jaguars S Sean Considine (groin) is expected to return to the lineup this week.

It's unclear if Considine, who has missed the last three games, will get his starting job back from Gerald Alexander.

Free agent pickup Sean Considine was reportedly the best looking safety on the field during Jaguars Organized Team Activities.

Jags.com suggests that Reggie Nelson's job could be in danger after the club acquired Gerald Alexander. The reality is Considine is an athlete and bound to look good in shorts. He's never been durable when the pads go on.

Jaguars GM Gene Smith says free agent pickup Sean Considine will get a chance to start at strong safety this offseason.

Considine failed with the same opportunity in Philadelphia two years ago. He's proven a better fit as a third safety/special teamer. It's unclear if the Jaguars will move Brian Williams back to strong safety or keep him at corner.

Jaguars signed SS Sean Considine to a two-year, $3 million contract.

The fourth-year pro lost his starting job to Quinton Mikell back in 2007 and never could regain it. He can be penciled in as the replacement for strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh, but that would be a big step down in talent. Considine lacks durability and isn't an asset against the run.

The Jaguars have a set up a visit with free agent S Sean Considine Friday.

The Jags need a replacement for the exiting Gerald Sensabaugh, but it's not clear that Considine is an upgrade at strong safety.
