The Texans are giving up an astounding 369 passing yard per game through three weeks, but Paymah doesn't have the remedy. He reportedly clocked in at under 4.40 in the forty while working out for the Lions, but he's still best used as a special teamer.

Paymah is a liability in coverage and would be best used as a fourth corner and special teamer. The Niners could also use their first-round pick on a corner, pushing Paymah even further down the depth chart.

Paymah, 27, can be a valuable special teamer, but the 49ers will be in trouble if he's forced into much defensive action. After flopping badly in coverage last year, the Vikings didn't even tender him a $1.226 million contract.

The decision reflects poorly on Paymah because corner is Minnesota's weakest position on either side of the ball. Paymah, 27, was too often exposed in coverage last season. He may resurface, but likely only as a special teamer.

Paymah looks good on paper, but he didn't cover himself in glory when he saw the field for Denver last year. Still, he's a cheap option with some upside. He'll compete to be the nickel back in Minnesota, but isn't guaranteed anything.

The Bucs and Browns will have to let him leave first. Paymah is drawing significant interest because he's a toolsy corner, just 26, and has proven worth on special teams. He's probably looking at a decent multi-year deal.

The Broncos are giving Karl Paymah the first shot to be their starting left cornerback in Champ Bailey's (torn groin) absence.

Paymah is getting the look ahead of rookie Jack Williams, who Denver would prefer to keep at nickel back. Paymah offers size, but hasn't done much in his four seasons. This is where trading Domonique Foxworth to Atlanta hurts.
