Texans placed CB Karl Paymah (wrist) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Undrafted rookie S Torri Williams will take the six-year veteran's spot on the 53-man roster, and the former Boilermaker can play both cornerback as well as safety. Although Paymah was buried on Houston's depth chart, David Garrard's matchup gets even tastier as our No. 8 fantasy QB for Week 10. Sat, Nov 13, 2010 07:26:00 PM

Texans signed CB Karl Paymah.

The Texans are giving up an astounding 369 passing yard per game through three weeks, but Paymah doesn't have the remedy. He reportedly clocked in at under 4.40 in the forty while working out for the Lions, but he's still best used as a special teamer.

The Lions worked out free agent CB Karl Paymah on Tuesday.

Like most of the Lions' corner options, Paymah is a liability in coverage. He's a special teamer at this stage of his career.

The Niners see Karl Paymah as a nickel back, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

Paymah is a liability in coverage and would be best used as a fourth corner and special teamer. The Niners could also use their first-round pick on a corner, pushing Paymah even further down the depth chart.

49ers signed CB Karl Paymah to a one-year contract.

Paymah, 27, can be a valuable special teamer, but the 49ers will be in trouble if he's forced into much defensive action. After flopping badly in coverage last year, the Vikings didn't even tender him a $1.226 million contract.

The Vikings will not tender CB Karl Paymah, making him an unrestricted free agent.

The decision reflects poorly on Paymah because corner is Minnesota's weakest position on either side of the ball. Paymah, 27, was too often exposed in coverage last season. He may resurface, but likely only as a special teamer.

Vikings agreed to terms with CB Karl Paymah on a one-year, $1.55 million contract.

Paymah looks good on paper, but he didn't cover himself in glory when he saw the field for Denver last year. Still, he's a cheap option with some upside. He'll compete to be the nickel back in Minnesota, but isn't guaranteed anything.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah will reportedly visit with the Vikings after all.

The Vikings are showing renewed interest and will meet with Paymah on Friday. The free agent has made the rounds with four teams already, but he's still looking for the right fit.
Thu, Mar 12, 2009 07:07:00 PM

Free agent CB Karl Paymah has canceled his visit with the Vikings and is now expected to meet with the 49ers at midweek.

The Bucs and Browns will have to let him leave first. Paymah is drawing significant interest because he's a toolsy corner, just 26, and has proven worth on special teams. He's probably looking at a decent multi-year deal.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah's visit with the Browns is scheduled for Tuesday.

Paymah was in Tampa on Monday. The 26-year-old would be a candidate for nickel duties in either place. His best bet to start would come with the Bucs.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah has added the Browns to his itinerary.

Paymah has already visited the Ravens and is set to meet with the Bucs and Vikes this weekend. The reserve corner and special teams ace will head to Cleveland on Monday.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah will visit with the Bucs this weekend.

He's also visiting with the Vikes. Paymah would upgrade the Bucs' special teams and provide depth at corner after Phillip Buchanon's exit.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah has scheduled a visit with the Vikings for this weekend.

The Vikes could get Paymah if the Ravens let him leave without a deal. He is in Baltimore Thursday. He'd compete for nickel duties in Minnesota.

Free agent CB Karl Paymah will visit the Ravens on Thursday.

The Broncos showed poor development skills with Paymah, who offers good size (6'0/195) and runs well. The former third-round pick could flourish under productive coaching. He'd push for time in sub-packages with the Ravens.
Thu, Mar 5, 2009 02:39:00 PM

The Broncos are giving Karl Paymah the first shot to be their starting left cornerback in Champ Bailey's (torn groin) absence.

Paymah is getting the look ahead of rookie Jack Williams, who Denver would prefer to keep at nickel back. Paymah offers size, but hasn't done much in his four seasons. This is where trading Domonique Foxworth to Atlanta hurts.
