Ravens signed LB Darryl Blackstock, formerly of the Raiders.

Blackstock, 29, rejuvenated his career a bit in Oakland last season after a two-year hiatus from the game. Largely a special teamer but possessing some 4-3 linebacker tools, Blackstock will compete for a roster spot in camp.

Raiders agreed to terms with LB Darryl Blackstock on a one-year contract.

The former Virginia Cavalier will be a special teamer and backup at all three linebacker spots. A third-round pick in 2005, Blackstock spent last season out of football. He hasn't been much of a pass-rushing presence as a pro.

Bengals re-signed LB Darryl Blackstock to a one-year contract.

A backup at all three linebacker positions, Blackstock settled for a one-year minimum deal. The former Virginia Cav recorded 20 tackles last season.

Bengals activated LB Darryl Blackstock from the reserve/suspended list and waived CB Geoffrey Pope.

Blackstock will play behind SLB Rashad Jeanty, possibly replacing him as a pass rusher on third downs. Pope was on the roster to play special teams.

NFL suspended LB Darryl Blackstock four games for violating league policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Blackstock played in each of the Bengals' first five games as a reserve and will be eligible to return on November 10.

Bengals agreed to terms with OLB Darryl Blackstock, formerly of the Cardinals, on a one-year contract.

Blackstock has struggled overall as a pro, but is only 24 and had three sacks off the bench last year. The Bengals will give more 3-4 looks going forward and he'll be sent as an edge rusher. Blackstock won't be in the mix to start.

The Bengals are in competition with the Browns to sign OLB Darryl Blackstock.

Miami was also interested, but Blackstock has narrowed his choice to the two Ohio clubs at this point. The Bengals, who lost LB Landon Johnson to the Panthers Friday, are in the market for a pass rushing linebacker.

Free agent LB Darryl Blackstock will reportedly visit the Browns this week.

He'd be a decent guy to take a flier on like Cleveland did with Antwan Peek last year. Peek got hurt, but brought some pressure when he was healthy.

The Dolphins and Bengals are interested in free agent OLB Darryl Blackstock.

Both are moving to base 3-4 alignments in 2008. Blackstock was a highly touted pass rusher coming out of UVA, but hasn't done much of it in the pros.

The Cardinals did not extend a tender to OLB Darryl Blackstock, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Blackstock, a third-round pick in what's turned out to be a highly disappointing 2005 draft, posted four sacks in his three years with Arizona.

Cardinals OLB Darryl Blackstock is likely to be a starter this season.

It'll either be Blackstock or Calvin Pace at the strong outside linebacker position for Arizona. Blackstock has just 23 tackles in his two-year career.

Cardinals LB Darryl Blackstock is being tried at rush end in minicamps.

The new staff seems intent on getting Blackstock on the field. He should be the first linebacker off the bench in Arizona's new-look 3-4 defense.

Darryl Blackstock will enter minicamp this week as a starter for the Cardinals.

We liked Blackstock coming out of Virginia's 3-4 defense, but he never fit in under Dennis Green. Perhaps Ken Whisenhunt will know how to use him.

Second-year LB Darryl Blackstock is competing for the starting weak-side linebacker job in Arizona.

A player we were high on coming out of Virginia, Blackstock had a quiet rookie year on the strong-side. He's competing with incumbent Orlando Huff for a starting job this year and is worth keeping an eye on in IDP leagues.
