Chiefs CB Travis Daniels left Sunday's game against the Chargers in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury, but quickly returned.

Daniels was only in the game because Brandon Flowers was hurt. Without Daniels, the Chiefs would be down to Javier Arenas and Jalil Brown as corners.

Chiefs re-signed DB Travis Daniels.

Daniels was with the Chiefs in training camp and should be ready to step right in. He can play both cornerback and safety. The latter position is where K.C. needs help after losing FS Jarrad Page (calf) for the season.

Chiefs agreed to terms with CB Travis Daniels, formerly of the Browns.

Daniels, who couldn't crack Cleveland's lineup last year, played under Chiefs GM Scott Pioli's pal Nick Saban at LSU. He'll compete for a roster spot.

Free agent DB Travis Daniels has reportedly piqued the interest of Kansas City and New England.

Daniels can play both safety and cornerback, although he's never played either especially well. He isn't known to have set up any free agent visits.

Travis Daniels is being given a look in practice to start over Browns right cornerback Brandon McDonald.

McDonald has been victimized on big pass plays of late. Daniels offers sound tackling ability, but he too has been susceptible to the deep ball in his career. No matter which one starts, Lee Evans should burn them on Sunday.

Browns acquired DB Travis Daniels from the Dolphins in exchange for a late-round draft pick in 2009.

Terry Cousin and Mike Adams haven't been getting it done at nickel back, so Daniels will be given a look there. The former Nick Saban draft pick can tackle and has versatility, having played both free safety and corner.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said that Travis Daniels will begin the season at cornerback.

"We know he has the ability to play two positions back there and on game day that’s important," Sparano said. The team hopes Jason Allen and Yeremiah Bell will claim the starting safety spots, allowing Daniels to compete outside.

Dolphins DB Travis Daniels is expected to move back to safety this year.

The 6'1/192-pound ex-cornerback will likely battle Jason Allen at free safety. Daniels is more experienced and a better tackler, but Allen has the upside.

Dolphins DB Travis Daniels has moved back to cornerback.

The 'Fins tried Daniels at free safety for awhile, but decided to keep Renaldo Hill there. Donovin Darius and Cameron Worrell are getting reps at the strong safety spot, and Worrell is expected to start there Sunday.

The Dolphins have begun transitioning Travis Daniels to safety.

Daniels, whose skill set is more suited for safety than cornerback, might be an option to overtake Travares Tillman later on in the season. CB Michael Lehan could now become a starter until Andre' Goodman (shoulder) returns.

Dolphins CB Travis Daniels is likely to be a starter to open the season.

Usual starter Andre' Goodman (shoulder surgery) is reportedly unlikely to be ready for Week 1, and could begin the season on the PUP list. Daniels dealt with a nagging ankle injury all last season but is now 100 percent.

Dolphins CB Travis Daniels says he's "300 percent better" after having his ankle scoped early in the offseason.

Daniels, a starter under Nick Saban, was once Miami's most promising defensive back. He has a chance to start over Andre' Goodman this season.

Dolphins cornerback Travis Daniels (ankle surgery) is expected to be 100 percent by the start of training camp.

The 'Fins shouldn't have the secondary depth issues they did in 2006 even with Andre' Goodman sidelined. Daniels may emerge as a starter.
