Titans RT David Stewart (broken leg) now says he probably won't be ready for May OTAs.
It doesn't sound like a setback for Stewart, just a precaution. He says he still has "a little bit to go" in his recovery. Stewart's lengthy recovery period could explain Tennessee's flirtation with free agent Eric Winston. May 1 - 12:41 PM

Titans RT David Stewart (broken leg) is expected to be ready for June's mandatory minicamp.

It's an upgrade on Stewart's previous prognosis, which had him ready for training camp. Due $6 million between salary and bonuses, Stewart remains locked into a starting job coming off a solid 2012.

Titans RT David Stewart is "still recovering" from the broken leg that ended his season in December, but is expected to be ready for training camp.

The injury cost Stewart the final four games of the season. Stewart is due $6 million between salary and bonuses, but played well enough in 2012 to be retained at that price.

Titans RT David Stewart is done for the season with a fractured right leg.

The injury occurred in Tennessee's Week 13 loss to Houston. Pro Football Focus has graded Stewart as a top-25 offensive tackle this season, and he book ends one of the Titans' few strengths opposite LT Michael Roos. Stewart is under contract relatively affordably in 2013 with a $5 million base salary and $1 million offseason roster bonus. Expect him to return as a starter.

Updating a previous item, Titans RT David Stewart suffered a fractured right leg in the first quarter of Sunday's game with the Texans and will miss the remainder of the season.

Stewart will likely be placed on season-ending injured reserve this upcoming week. Mike Otto will play right tackle for the season's final four-plus games. Stewart graded out as Pro Football Focus' eighth-best right tackle in the league through the first 11 games and excels as a pass blocker.

Titans RT David Stewart left Sunday's game against the Texans with a lower right leg injury and was carted off the field.

It didn't look good. A Houston defender dove at the back of Stewart's legs and his leg appeared to be broken, or he's dealing with an ankle injury. Trainers put a brace on his leg immediately. Mike Otto is in at right tackle.

Titans RT David Stewart (calf) is expected to return to practice this week.

It's another boost for Chris Johnson. Although backup Mike Otto handled himself well, Stewart is considered one of the Titans' best run blockers. Johnson is a clear RB1 against the Bills' defense that yields 4.5 yards per carry on the season.

Titans declared RT David Stewart (calf) inactive for Sunday's game against the Bucs.

Mike Otto draws the start at right tackle, downgrading Chris Johnson's chances of a quality day on the ground. Middle linebacker Barrett Ruud (groin) is also out, leading to another start for impressive rookie Colin McCarthy. The rest of the Titans' inactives: QB Rusty Smith, RB Jamie Harper, WR Donnie Avery, C/G Kevin Matthews and DT Zach Clayton.

Titans RT David Stewart (calf) is not expected to return to Sunday's game.

Stewart was spotted with a bag of ice on the calf to open the second half. He's arguably Tennessee's best run blocker, so this won't help Chris Johnson's chances of breaking out of his funk. Stewart's backup is Mike Otto.

Titans RT David Stewart (hamstring) returned to practice on Friday and is expected to play on Sunday against the Bills.

"I guess so. We'll see. I'm good now," Stewart said. He is an impressive run blocker and Chris Johnson will be benefited even more against the Bills' league-worst rush defense.

Titans RT David Stewart (hamstring) is expected to start in Week 9 despite being injured in Thursday's practice and sitting out Friday.

"Right now we are expecting him to play," coach Jeff Fisher confirmed. Stewart, a mauling run blocker on the strong side, is listed as questionable on the injury report. His presence will help Chris Johnson's cause.

Titans RT David Stewart has resumed practicing after missing most of training camp with a knee injury.

Stewart will start in Week 1. Chris Johnson has struggled to find running room in the preseason, but Stewart and C Kevin Mawae's absences probably had a lot to do with it. Stewart is one of the game's most underrated maulers.

Titans RT David Stewart will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday and miss the remainder of the preseason.

His status for Week 1 isn't assured, but this is Stewart's first procedure of the sort and he's 25, so he figures to rebound quickly. If not, Tennessee has a capable alternative in Daniel Loper. There's no fantasy impact here.

Titans signed RT David Stewart to a six-year, $38.9 million contract. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed.

Stewart got $6 million to sign and will see a $2 million roster bonus in the first year. The Mississippi State product goes 6'7/318 and is a tenacious, intimidating run blocker who's frequently drawn comparisons to Eagles right tackle Jon Runyan. The Titans know how to get deals done with their best players and showed it by locking up Stewart and LT Michael Roos.

Titans signed restricted free agent RT David Stewart to a one-year, $2.017 million contract.

This is likely just a precursor to a long-term deal. The Titans already locked up young LT Michael Roos earlier this offseason. Stewart can't expect the $43 million Roos got, but something in the $35 million range seems right.
