The Philadelphia Inquirer mentions Eagles RG Todd Herremans as a player who may be in danger of being cut this offseason.
After starting eight games at right tackle in 2012, Herremans was shifted to guard in 2013 and started all 16 games. Per Pro Football Focus, he was atrocious as a pass blocker but excelled in the run game -- grading out as PFF's No. 2 guard in run blocking behind teammate LG Evan Mathis. Herremans is 31 and is due a $3 million salary in 2014, though the Eagles would save just $600K against the cap by releasing him. Herremans could be safe for one more season in Philly. Todd Herremans has officially been moved to right guard.

Rookie Lane Johnson will be the right tackle and Jason Peters is back from injury to man the left side. Herremans started more than 70 games at left guard for the Eagles between 2006 and 2011, so it shouldn't be a big transition. On paper, Philly is fielding one of the game's most talented offensive lines.

Eagles RT Todd Herremans (foot surgery) is "a few weeks away" from getting a clean bill of health from team doctors.

Herremans, 30, suffered ligament damage, a strained tendon, and bone cracks on November 5. "I don’t see myself missing any offseason activities," he said. "I imagine I’ll be good to go in the next few weeks." Herremans graded out positively as both a run and pass blocker in 2012, per Pro Football Focus' ratings.

Eagles RT Todd Herremans recently underwent surgery to remove an infection in his foot.

Herremans was placed on injured reserve at the beginning of November after dislocating a bone and tearing ligaments in his foot. CSN Philly points out that Herremans still fits into the team's plan moving forward, but it remains to be seen if that's at tackle or guard. He should be ready for OTAs in April.

Eagles OL Todd Herremans (IR, ankle) expects to be ready for minicamps.

Herremans dislocated the cuboid bone in his right foot and is still in a cast. But he fully expects to be healthy by the spring and projects as the Eagles' 2013 starting right tackle or guard. Backup Demetress Bell struggled to the point he got benched, leaving Dennis Kelly to impress as the current starter.

Eagles placed RT Todd Herremans on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season.

The hits keep coming for the Eagles, who enter the second half of the season with neither their preferred left tackle nor right tackle. With LT Jason Peters (Achilles) unlikely to return, it means the Eagles are left with King Dunlap and free-agent bust Demetress Bell at tackle. Dunlap is expected to man Vick's right (blind) side, with Bell filling-in at left. In the first year of a five-year contract with only one season guaranteed, the onus to step up is on Bell in a big way. The missed games will be Herremans' first since 2009. After turning 30 last month, Herremans is signed through 2016. He's expected to avoid surgery on the ankle.

CSN Philly reports there is a "very good chance" RT Todd Herreman's season is over after suffering a tendon injury in his foot-ankle area.

"It's not good," one team official said. "It doesn't look good at all. We're still waiting for [more test results], but it looks bad." The Eagles are already without LT Jason Peters, C Jason Kelce, and RG Danny Watkins. Michael Vick was sacked a season-high seven times Monday night by a Saints defense that had just 13 sacks through the first seven games. Free agent bust Demetress Bell is expected to fill in for Herremans.

Eagles RT Todd Herremans sustained a strained tendon in his ankle during Monday night's loss to the Saints.

It's another blow to the Eagles' anemic offensive line. Herremans' absence left incompetent Demetress Bell on Michael Vick's blindside and hideous pass protection ensued. The Eagles are already playing without their starting LT Jason Peters (Achilles), C Jason Kelce (knee) and RG Danny Watkins (ankle). Herremans is set for an MRI Tuesday to determine the severity of his injury.

Eagles RT Todd Herremans left Monday night's game against the Saints with a right ankle/foot injury and is doubtful to return.

Herremans was injured while pulling around to the left. He tried jumping over a player on the ground and landed awkwardly on the ankle. Demetress Bell entered at right tackle while Herremans was helped off the field by trainers. The Philadelphia offensive line has struggled mightily while pass protecting, but the run game generated 105 yards in the first quarter.

Eagles signed RT Todd Herremans to a three-year, $21 million contract extension.

The deal includes $11 million guaranteed, and locks Herremans up through 2016, when he will be 34. Herremans was switched from left guard to right tackle late in training camp last season, but held his own as Michael Vick's blindside protector, allowing just four sacks. The Eagles will likely now turn their attention to locking up impending free agent LG Evan Mathis.

The Eagles have moved LG Todd Herremans to right tackle.

Evan Mathis will take Herremans' place at left guard. The move was necessitated by Ryan Harris' latest back injury, which appears poised to knock him out for a large chunk of the season. Herremans was a tackle in college, but has played guard for the majority of his six-year career. It's a risky move by the Eagles, but neither King Dunlap or Winston Justice appeared to be the answer as Michael Vick's blindside protector.

Eagles LG Todd Herremans says his health is as good as it's been "in like three years."

Herremans has battled left foot problems since suffering a stress fracture early in the 2009 season, and he also had arthroscopic knee surgery in May of 2009. He still started all 16 games last year. Pro Football Focus graded Herremans as just the 28th best guard in the NFL, but he was top-ten in run blocking.

Coach Andy Reid said Tuesday that LG Todd Herremans will "probably not" be moved outside to right tackle.

Reid expects Winston Justice and King Dunlap to fight it out at right tackle. Herremans and first-rounder Danny Watkins will be the guards, with Jamaal Jackson trying to hold off Mike McGlynn at center. It should be an improved unit in 2011, though Justice's return from knee surgery is the key question.

ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports Eagles LG Todd Herremans (calf) will start Sunday's Wild Card round matchup with Green Bay, but RG Max Jean-Gilles' (ankle) status is in doubt.

Herremans' health is good news for the Eagles, though Jean-Gilles' loss may prove costly. Backup Nick Cole played a major role in last year's playoff debacle against the Cowboys when he filled in for Jamaal Jackson at center.

Eagles activated LG Todd Herremans (foot) and Jamaal Jackson (knee) off the PUP list.

Herremans was expected to be activated before the start of the season, though Jackson's timetable was up in the air. Having both back already is a great sign for the team. Kevin Kolb and Co. are sitting pretty.
