The Bears will reportedly work out free agent LB Rod Wilson on Wednesday.

Wilson, cut by the Jaguars earlier this month, spent three years in Chicago from 2005-08. He's among the candidates to replace Hunter Hillenmeyer as a reserve linebacker.

Bears LB Rod Wilson suffered a broken arm in the team's third preseason game. He will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Chicago will likely keep Mike Okwo around now, probably as their fifth LB after Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher, Hunter Hillenmeyer, and Jamar Williams.

It looked like Wilson may have broken his arm on Thomas Clayton's helmet while attempting a tackle.

It's believed the injury is just a stinger, and Wilson had full range of motion. Still, he went to a spinal doctor as a precaution. Wilson is second on the team with 11 special teams tackles.

Wilson is dangerously small, listed at under 220 pounds, but he'll have close to a full offseason to bulk up. '06 fourth-rounder Jamar Williams could also be an option, though many feel Chicago will franchise Briggs.
