Seahawks signed CB Will Blackmon, formerly of the Jaguars.
Blackmon appeared in eight games last season, starting four. He missed the second half of the year with a broken finger. It's his second stint with the Seahawks, though his six months with the team in 2013 came entirely in the offseason. Blackmon has a long injury history, and is not a realistic candidate to replace Byron Maxwell. Mar 9 - 5:28 PM

Jaguars released CB Will Blackmon.

Blackmon sat out the second half of 2014 with a broken finger. He's also had two ACL surgeries, which could cause teams to shy away in free agency. With Blackmon out of the picture, Demetrius McCray will be tentatively penciled in as Jacksonville's starting left corner. The cut creates $920K in cap room for the Jags, who have more cap space than any team in the league.

Jaguars placed CB Will Blackmon (finger) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Blackmon, a nine-year journeyman, had been playing roughly half the snaps in the Jags secondary.

Jaguars CB Will Blackmon is out indefinitely with a broken finger.

Operating as the Jags' No. 2/3 cornerback, Blackmon has started 4-of-8 games, playing 361 largely-ineffective snaps. CB Alan Ball's (bicep) status has now taken on increased importance for Week 9. Blackmon will likely miss somewhere in the neighborhood of a month.

Jaguars re-signed CB Will Blackmon to a two-year, $1.875 million contract.

After recovering from two ACL tears, Blackmon was signed off the street ahead of Week 1 last season and proceeded to become arguably the Jags' best corner. He'll form a reasonably effective trio with Alan Ball and Dwayne Gratz.

Coach Gus Bradley told reporters Friday that contract talks between the Jaguars and free agent CB Will Blackmon are "moving in the right direction."

Blackmon started eight games and played 682 defensive snaps last season after being out of the league in 2012. The Jaguars view Blackmon as a fit for their defensive scheme and could re-sign him before the start of free agency. Blackmon will likely be brought back as the No. 3 corner behind Alan Ball and Dwayne Gratz.

The Jaguars' official website expects the team to re-sign free agent CB Will Blackmon.

Blackmon was signed off the street ahead of Week 1 after being out of the league in 2012. He started eight games for the Jaguars and played 682 defensive snaps. Pro Football Focus graded Blackmon out as its No. 22 corner out of 110 qualifiers. He's a big corner at 6-foot, 200, just how coach Gus Bradley likes them. Blackmon should be able to land a bit of guaranteed money.

Jaguars CB Will Blackmon was ruled out of Sunday's Week 3 game due to a head injury.

He's likely got a concussion. With Jacksonville's usual starting corners shelved, Blackmon has been playing a ton of snaps at left cornerback.

Jaguars signed CB Will Blackmon.

CB Marcus Burley was waived in a corresponding roster move. Blackmon was released by the Seahawks on Tuesday. Out of the league in 2012, Blackmon has made just 14 appearances since the end of the 2008 season. His stay in Jacksonville shouldn't be long.

Seahawks signed CB/KR Will Blackmon.

Blackmon was out of work in 2012, and has appeared in just 14 games since the end of the 2008 season. He hasn't been the same since his 2009 ACL tear. Going on 29, Blackmon will be a long-shot in Seahawks camp.

Giants re-signed CB/KR Will Blackmon.

He'll take the roster spot vacated by Michael Coe, who was placed on injured reserve Monday. Injury prone, Blackmon struggled as a return-man last season, averaging just 6.4 yards on punts and 18.3 yards on kickoffs. His snaps on defense will be limited.

Giants released KR Will Blackmon with an injury settlement.

Blackmon, 26, averaged just 6.4 yards per punt return and 18.3 per kickoff during his five-game stay on the Giants' roster, while continuing to struggle with injuries. He'll likely be signed to an 80-man roster this offseason, but we're losing hope that he'll reassert himself as a fearless return man.

Giants placed DB/KR Will Blackmon on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

Blackmon didn't provide the Giants with much in his time on the roster, averaging just 18.3 yards per kickoff return, 6.7 per punt return and contributing two special teams tackles. He's been unable to get over his nagging knee issues.

Will Blackmon will handle return duties for the Giants in Week 9 against Seattle.

There's a good chance of rain, so he'll have to focus on securing in the ball in his first opportunity to return balls since his time in Green Bay. He's got a great on-field track record, and should be a nice upgrade over Darius Reynaud (hamstring). A decent game from Blackmon could lead to Reynaud's release.
