Bucs RG Davin Joseph (knee) was a full participant as the team convened for its offseason program this week.
"Rehab is over with," confirmed Joseph, who tore his right patellar tendon last preseason. "[I'm] working out with the team, getting ready for the season, pushing with no limitations." Joseph is one of the better run-blocking guards in football. His return will be a boon to Doug Martin's efficiency in 2013. Apr 19 - 8:21 PM

Bucs RG Davin Joseph says he is fully recovered from his torn right patellar tendon that caused him to miss the entire season.

"I've always had minor issues with my patellar and I think my right knee is stronger now than it's ever been," he said. Joseph suffered the injury in preseason and underwent surgery in late August. With Joseph and LG Carl Nicks (toe) returning to health, it's a boon to Doug Martin's already-high fantasy stock. When healthy, the Bucs offensive line is one of the most powerful run-blocking units in the league.

Buccaneers placed RG Davin Joseph on injured reserve with a torn left patellar tendon, ending his season.

He'll undergo surgery on Monday. There was speculation Joseph had "only" suffered a broken kneecap, but now he'll be sidelined for upwards of a year. It's a massive blow for a Bucs team hoping to rely on a power-run game, and significantly weakens an interior line that was one of their only obvious strengths. G/C Ted Larsen will slide into the lineup opposite All-Pro LG Carl Nicks. Joseph, who was named to his second Pro Bowl last season, turns 29 in November.

Per Bucs sideline reporter Dave Wirth, RG Davin Joseph's left knee injury is a broken kneecap, and he'll be sidelined at least three months.

There's a glimmer of hope Joseph could return this season, but he'll still more than likely be placed on injured reserve. A broken kneecap would be preferable to a host of torn ligaments, but it's still awful news for a team counting on a power-rushing attack and powerful play from their mauling right guard. What was going to be one of the Bucs' only obvious strengths -- interior offensive line play -- is now a question mark with G/C Ted Larsen expected to line up opposite All-Pro LG Carl Nicks.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Bucs believe RG Davin Joseph's left knee injury is season-ending.

Joseph will undergo further testing, but his year is likely through. It's a crushing blow for a Bucs team hoping to install a smash-mouth rushing attack under new coach Greg Schiano, as Joseph is amongst the league's strongest interior linemen. He was named to last season's Pro Bowl. G/C Ted Larsen is the first man up opposite All-Pro LG Carl Nicks.

Bucs RG Davin Joseph was carted off the field with a left knee injury in the second quarter of Friday night's preseason game.

Multiple observers suggested the injury looked serious, and Joseph was replaced by Ted Larsen. Losing Joseph could be a large blow to Tampa's offensive line, which is a power-blocking unit. Joseph is perhaps their most powerful lineman.

Bucs agreed to terms with RG Davin Joseph on a seven-year, $53 million contract including $19 million guaranteed.

Joseph broke the news on Twitter late Thursday, and the St. Petersburg Times confirmed the deal's length and financials. Though opinions across the NFL seem mixed on Joseph, the Bucs know his potential as a mauling run blocker. The cost was hefty for an interior lineman, though. Joseph, 27, will return as the team's starting right guard. No longer a zone blocker, Joseph is expected to flourish in new line coach Pat Morris' power-blocking scheme.

Free agent RG Davin Joseph indicated on Twitter Wednesday that he's yet to receive a contract offer from the Bucs.

Bucs GM Mark Dominik strongly hinted in a Tuesday press conference that Joseph is the team's top priority, but the team appears to be slow-playing it. As far as we can tell, it's working because Joseph has not been connected to any other teams. Ideally, Dominik could lock up Joseph at a discounted rate.

Re-signing RG Davin Joseph is expected to be the Bucs' No. 1 priority during the 72-hour window for teams to retain their own free agents.

The Bucs believe the underachieving Joseph will be a better fit in new line coach Pat Morris' power-blocking scheme. Joseph often struggled in Pete Mangurian's zone system. To retain Joseph, the Bucs may have to pony up one of the richest contracts for an offensive guard in league history. They have plenty of cap space to do it, of course, and need to at least hit the salary floor.

Although he wants to return to Tampa, free agent OG Davin Joseph says the Bucs' approach to re-signing key teammates will affect his decision.

Joseph wants to ensure that the Bucs will take a "step in the right direction" as opposed to "trying to reconstruct the whole roster." In particular, Joseph wants to see OT Jeremy Trueblood and MLB Barrett Ruud re-signed. "I'm optimistic about staying here in Tampa," he said. "This is where I want to be."

The Pewter Report predicts free agent G Davin Joseph will ultimately re-sign with the Bucs.

The Report's Charle Campbell believes, "Joseph may be the most likely (Buc) to get a lucrative multi-year contract, and that is what it will probably take to get a deal done." Joseph suffered his second broken foot in three years in 2010, but should draw strong interest on the open market.

Free agents RG Davin Joseph and RT Jeremy Trueblood are both hoping to re-sign with the Buccaneers.

Comprising the right side of the Bucs line for the past five seasons, Joseph and Trueblood have forged a strong bond. Although Trueblood lost his job to James Lee down the stretch, he's considered a better fit for new O-Line coach Pat Morris' power-blocking scheme. Joseph will be one of the better free agent guards available, so the Bucs will have competition for his services.

According to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times, re-signing free agent RG Davin Joseph is the Bucs' "No. 1 priority" for when the lockout ceases.

GM Mark Dominik said this just after the season. Joseph has not realized his potential after four years, but the Bucs apparently think he'll get better. That's the only reason we can come up with to explain the team's interest in retaining Joseph. We just hope they don't break the bank. Joseph is entering his age-28 season, so it isn't like he's a spring chicken.

The Bucs reportedly extended restricted free agent tenders to OG Davin Joseph, OT Jeremy Trueblood, and DE Stylez G. White.

All three players have accrued at least four years of service, putting them in position to hit the open market with a new CBA. The Bucs are expected to move on from Trueblood and White, though they remain interested in bringing Joseph back on a long-term deal.

The player rep for free agent OG Davin Joseph anticipates his client being tendered as a restricted free agent before March 3.

"They will give Davin an RFA tender," said agent Ben Dogra. Joseph's tender is expected to exceed $3 million, but as we've mentioned before, it's likely to be meaningless once a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is established.
