Broncos released RB LenDale White.
White had been in and out of practice with numerous nagging injuries, which is common for players trying to come back from torn Achilles' tendons. The 45th overall pick in the 2006 draft, White's career has bottomed out as an injury-plagued running back unable to outlast undrafted rookies like C.J. Gable and Brandon Minor. White hasn't played a snap since Week 17 of 2009. Tue, Aug 16, 2011 12:02:00 PM

LenDale White (Achilles) has participated in some of the Broncos' player-organized workouts this offseason, but not at full speed.

Good news for White, but he remains very unlikely to be a part of the Broncos' 2011 plans. There's a good chance he will never be the same after rupturing his right Achilles last August.

LenDale White is now running, eight months after surgery to repair his ruptured right Achilles' tendon.

White is still not ready for "explosive" drills, though. He was roster fodder last summer, prior to the injury, so it's hard to like his chances of contributing in 2011. We're not aware of any NFL running back successfully recapturing pre-injury form in the case of a ruptured Achilles. The new Broncos regime figures cut ties as soon as the lockout is lifted.

LenDale White underwent surgery Tuesday to repair his ruptured right Achilles' tendon.

White will want to compare notes with new Broncos back Andre Brown, who underwent the procedure while with the Giants last summer. In the past, an Achilles' tear has essentially ended a running back's career.

Broncos placed RB LenDale White on injured reserve with a torn Achilles' tendon, ending his season.

White gets to serve his four-game suspension while on I.R., but it won't matter. He may be through in the pros, considering the ugly history of running backs coming off torn Achilles' tendons. White, 26 in December, was already a fringe NFL player. He's plenty safe to part with in Dynasty leagues.

LenDale White will miss the 2010 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles' tendon in Thursday's preseason finale.

White wasn't going to play for a month due to suspension, and the Broncos weren't counting on him for a significant role beyond Week 5. Chris Johnson's former touchdown vulture drew scant interest around the league when the Seahawks surprisingly released him in May. We're not aware of any NFL running back successfully returning from a torn Achilles'. LenDale won't be the first.

LenDale White left Thursday's preseason finale with an ankle injury.

White was "walking gingerly" and had to be helped off the field. His return is considered doubtful. White is suspended for the first four games of the season, so he'll have plenty of time to rest up.

LenDale White (ankle) returned to Broncos practice on Wednesday.

White had been injured essentially since signing with the Broncos on August 4. Suspended for the first four regular season games, he'll likely be kept on the reserve/suspended list until Week 5, at which point Denver will decide to keep or let him go. Our guess is that he'll become a free agent.

LenDale White has barely practiced since joining the Broncos due to a sprained ankle.

With Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) and Correll Buckhalter (back) both sidelined, White had a golden opportunity to create some rare positive buzz. Predictably, he's blown it. White, who is suspended for the first four games of the season, could still be on the roster bubble.

LenDale White (leg) didn't practice again Tuesday and his status at this point is uncertain.

He's expected to sit out his second straight preseason game Saturday, and it appears the Broncos are unsure of when he'll be back on the practice field. White is suspended for the first four games of the season, anyway, so we don't expect his leg injury to really affect him in the long-term.

The leg injury keeping LenDale White out of practice this week is described as cramping in the thigh and tightness in his hamstring.

Considering his history, it's no surprise that LenDale arrived to camp in less than tip-top football shape. He's not practicing this week, and Lance Ball is the favorite to start the preseason opener against the Bengals.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post believes LenDale White is "all but assured" of playing for the Broncos this season despite his four-game suspension.

Klis appeared on the Dan Patrick Show with Mike Florio Friday morning. He points out that White fills a need as the Broncos' No. 3 back because they had nothing but camp bodies behind the currently injured duo of Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter. White will provide depth for Denver once he returns in mid-October. He's undraftable in fantasy leagues.

Suspended Broncos RB LenDale White insists he has sworn off marijuana this summer.

It must have been a recent revelation because he admitted in June that he likes to partake in the recreational drug. White already ditched Patron Tequila last year, so he's apparently morphed into "Captain No-Fun." Coach Josh McDaniels informed LenDale that he's on a zero-tolerance policy regarding off-the-field mistakes.

Broncos signed RB LenDale White, formerly of the Titans.

Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post speculates that White will be "a camp body, perhaps." And that might be all he is in Denver. White, 25, is suspended for the first four games of the season, and the Broncos need healthy running backs to practice with while Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) and Correll Buckhalter (back) are out. White's far from a lock to be on the 53-man roster.

Free agent LenDale White confirmed that he's receiving no interest on the open market.

There's not a market for mediocre short-yardage specialists in the NFL, particularly when they lack dedication to the sport. "I haven’t got any calls," said White on FOX Sports Radio. "Nobody’s called me, but I’m preparing to play in the NFL and that’s what I’m going to keep continuing to work on."
