Bengals signed DE Victor Adeyanju, formerly of the Rams.

A career reserve, Adeyanju floundered when given a shot at playing time down the stretch last year. He'll add depth with Jonathan Fanene going on injured reserve.

Rams waived DE Victor Adeyanju.

Not a surprise here, as Adeyanju didn't do anything with his chance last season. The Rams would be wise to scour the waiver wire for defensive line help, such as Giants castoff Jay Alford.

Rams re-signed restricted free agent DE Victor Adeyanju to a one-year, $1.176 million contract.

Adeyanju finally grabbed playing time late last season after the Rams' defensive front was ravaged by injuries. He failed to create pressure or stop the run, though, and won't be a guaranteed a rotational role in 2010.

The Rams have extended a low (original pick) tender to restricted free agent DE Victor Adeyanju.

Another Rams lineman that doesn't create pressure, Adeyanju fell behind former undrafted free agent C.J. Ah You on the 2009 depth chart before finally getting some late-season playing time. He's just not very valuable.

Rams declared DL Victor Adeyanju, FS Anthony Smith, DL Dorell Scott, SS James Butler, OG John Greco, OG Roger Allen, WR Ruvell Martin and QB Keith Null inactive for Week 5 against the Vikings.

Marc Bulger is active, but will serve as backup quarterback to Kyle Boller. The Rams are fairly banged up heading into their matchup with Minnesota.

Rams DE Victor Adeyanju (finger) rejoined practice on Monday.

A run-stopping backup, Adeyanju figures to be St. Louis' third end behind starting RE Chris Long and LE Leonard Little this season.

Rams DE Victor Adeyanju will miss up to a month of training camp after breaking his right middle finger in Sunday's practice.

A run-stopping reserve, Adeyanju produced zero sacks despite playing a lot with Leonard Little injured last year. He isn't a threat to start this season.

Rams DE Victor Adeyanju is expected to play Sunday.

The fourth-round rookie hasn't played since breaking his arm in Week 12. Brandon Green will return to his rightful duty on nickel downs.

Rams DE Victor Adeyanju (broken arm) will not play in Week 14.

"He's not ready," head coach Scott Linehan said. "He tried. I like his attitude and the way he is thinking. There's still too much pain in there." St. Louis could use help at most defensive positions, but just getting players to play hurt usually isn't the answer to stopping the run.

Rams DE Victor Adeyanju (questionable, arm) practiced fully Friday.

The run-stuffing edge presence has quickly recovered from a broken arm in Week 12. We expect Adeyanju's snaps to be limited on Monday night, although Brandon Green has not been effective rushing the passer.
Fri, Dec 8, 2006 05:58:00 PM

Rams coach Scott Linehan said that DE Victor Adeyanju (arm) has an "outside chance" to play Monday night against the Bears.

The rookie fourth-round pick was expected to miss 3-4 weeks after breaking his right forearm just nine days ago, but may be able to play in Week 14 while wearing a cast. His status is currently being called doubtful.

Rams rookie defensive end Victor Adeyanju is expected to miss three-to-four weeks after fracturing his forearm during Sunday's win.

KCTV5 in Kansas City reports the Rams are holding out hope Adeyanju will not need to be placed on injured reserve. St. Louis has poor depth at end after dealing Tony Hargrove to Buffalo just prior to the trade deadline. Brandon Green is the odds-on favorite to start while Adeyanju is out.
