Redskins agreed to terms with RT Jeremy Trueblood.
The Redskins will be looking to turn garbage into gold on the offensive line once again as Tyler Polumbus moves on. Trueblood started 84 games over a seven-year career with the Bucs, but was benched repeatedly due to ineffectiveness. He's also a power blocker at 6'8/320 while the Redskins run a zone scheme. Expect Trueblood to battle Tony Pashos and Tom Compton for the starting gig. Mar 14 - 11:08 AM

The Redskins are scheduled to host free agent RT Jeremy Trueblood.

Washington needs a right tackle, but Trueblood would be a bit of an odd fit. The 30-year-old is a power blocker and the Redskins run a zone scheme. Perhaps Trueblood will be offered a minimum deal to compete to replace Tyler Polumbus. Skins GM Bruce Allen was in Tampa's front office when the Bucs drafted Trueblood.

Bucs placed OL Jeremy Trueblood (shoulder) and S Cody Grimm (hamstring) on season-ending injured reserve.

Trueblood suffered a shoulder injury in Week 12. He had been operating as a swing lineman after losing his starting job to Demar Dotson. Trueblood seems unlikely to return as a 2013 free agent. Grimm was primarily a special teamer before injuring his hamstring in Week 9.

The Bucs have installed former RT Jeremy Trueblood as their new starting right guard.

He's replacing Ted Larsen. Larsen stood 6-foot-2, 305. Trueblood goes 6-foot-8, 320. As long as Trueblood can stay low and fire out of his stance that way, he should be able to make this work. For comparison's sake, 6-foot-8, 300-pound Alex Boone of the 49ers has emerged as one of the NFL's best right guards.

Coach Greg Schiano hinted that RT Jeremy Trueblood could see some action at right guard after the bye.

Trueblood lost the starting right tackle job to Demar Dotson. He's not getting that gig back, but could replace struggling Ted Larsen inside. Larsen has been subbing for Davin Joseph (IR, knee). Any change will be welcome news for rookie RB Doug Martin, who has seen few running lanes on his way to 3.47 yards per carry.

The Bucs are no longer even activating former starting RT Jeremy Trueblood on game days.

Trueblood was benched for Demar Dotson and can only play right tackle. The Bucs need more "versatility" in their game-day backup offensive linemen. "It’s just when you’re not the starter, when you’re a backup and you dress seven offensive linemen, it’s (about) position flexibility at that point," coach Greg Schiano explained. Trueblood is "earning" $4 million this season.

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Demar Dotson will make his first regular-season start at right tackle. Also inactive for the Bucs: CB Anthony Gaitor, RB Michael Smith, CB E.J. Biggers, LB Najee Goode, OT Derek Hardman and DE George Johnson.

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 2.

The Bucs are already without RG Davin Joseph (knee, injured reserve) for the season. Trueblood and LG Carl Nicks (probable, toe) were limited participants in practice this week. If Trueblood is ruled out against the Giants, Demar Dotson will start at right tackle.

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood agreed to a $1 million pay cut at the start of camp.

Bucs GM Mark Dominik threatened Trueblood with his release if he didn't accept. Trueblood was smart to take the salary slash, because no other teams would have paid him the $4.25 million he's still due. Trueblood's salary ($4 million) is now guaranteed, and he'll also collect a $250,000 escalator. Now in a contract year, Trueblood struggled along with the rest of the Bucs in 2011.

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a right knee injury.

Packers LB Desmond Bishop trapped Trueblood's ankle underneath his body, twisting it awkwardly. James Lee has come on as the replacement at right tackle.

Bucs re-signed RT Jeremy Trueblood to a two-year, $10 million contract.

No one else must have wanted him, because James Lee is known to be the favorite to start at right tackle. The 59th pick in the 2006 draft, Trueblood began his career in promising form before collapsing over the past few seasons. He was supposed to be a Jon Runyan kind of power blocker coming out of Boston College.

Impending free agent RT Jeremy Trueblood is not expected back with the Buccaneers in 2011.

Trueblood lost his job to James Lee down the stretch, and has put together back-to-back poor seasons. Still just 27 with plenty of starting experience, Trueblood is likely to draw interest from teams with power-blocking schemes. When on his game, Trueblood can be a mauler in the running game.

Bucs OT Jeremy Trueblood has officially been demoted from his former starting job at right tackle.

Trueblood hasn't started for a few weeks now even though he's been healthy, but he's just now been officially removed from the top spot on the depth chart. The Bucs have been happy with the play of James Lee, who has started the last six games. A pending free agent, Trueblood might not be back in 2011.

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood appears to have been permanently benched in favor of second-year undrafted free agent James Lee.

Trueblood has recovered from his knee injury, but has been one of the least effective right tackles in football over the past two seasons. Losing the job is bad news for Trueblood in a contract year. The Bucs have also decided on a rotation at left guard between Jeremy Zuttah and rookie Ted Larsen.
Fri, Nov 26, 2010 01:36:00 PM

Bucs RT Jeremy Trueblood (knee) might sit out again in Week 11.

Trueblood, who has a sprained MCL, said he's feeling better but not at 100 percent. RT James Lee has fared well while filling in, so this is of no concern to LeGarrette Blount owners.
