The Vikings did not extend a tender to WR Hank Baskett, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Kendra isn't going to be pleased. Baskett, 28, appeared in just six games last season, making one 18-yard catch and a single tackle on special teams. Thu, Mar 3, 2011 11:24:00 AM

Vikings declared WR Hank Baskett, LB Erin Henderson, third QB Joe Webb, SS Husain Abdullah, DT Fred Evans, RB Albert Young, CB Lito Sheppard, and OG Chris DeGeare inactive for Sunday Night Football.

Tyrell Johnson gets the nod at strong safety. Brett Favre and Percy Harvin are both active, as expected. Behind Adrian Peterson, Toby Gerhart is the only Vikings tailback "up." Chris Cook will be Minnesota's nickel corner.

Vikings signed WR Hank Baskett, formerly of the Eagles.

Baskett broke in with Philly in 2006, so he missed Brad Childress by one year. Still, the Vikes' West Coast system is similar enough to the Eagles'. Baskett will play special teams and fall in line behind Greg Camarillo and Greg Lewis as the No. 5 receiver.

Eagles released WR Hank Baskett.

Baskett had already fallen behind rookie Riley Cooper for the fourth receiver job, so he had been limited to special teams action. His days as a fantasy factor are long gone.

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said that Hank Baskett isn't necessarily the team's top backup receiver despite replacing an injured Jeremy Maclin Friday.

"All of those guys are in competition," Mornhinweg said. "I wouldn't read too much into that." We give rookie Riley Cooper the edge over Baskett at this time, but it would take multiple injuries for either to become a fantasy factor.

The Colts had questions about Hank Baskett's hands toward the end of last season, according to SI's Peter King.

Perhaps they should have thought of that before he mishandled the pivotal onside kick in the Super Bowl. Now with the Eagles, Baskett is fighting for a roster spot. Kendra's husband has great size 6'4/220 and can get open, but does have trouble coming down with passes -- especially in traffic.

Eagles signed WR Hank Baskett to a one-year contract.

Baskett will be gunning for a roster spot as the fifth receiver and special teamer. With Jason Avant and Kevin Curtis ahead of him on the depth chart, he won't be a factor in the passing game.

In addition to Justin Fargas, the Eagles will also host free agent WR Hank Baskett on Friday.

The Eagles are seeking a veteran fifth receiver and special teamer, and Baskett fits the bill. His knowledge of Andy Reid's offense certainly can't hurt his chances of landing a deal.

Free agent WR Hank Baskett is reportedly drawing interest from the Bears, Rams, and Eagles.

Baskett was with the Eagles from 2006 through the beginning of last season, so a reunion would make sense. He'd be limited to a fifth-receiver and special teams role for any of the three teams.

The Colts failed to tender WR Hank Baskett and LB Tyjuan Hagler, making them unrestricted free agents.

Kendra Wilkinson's husband didn't help himself by letting an onside kick bounce off his helmet in the Super Bowl, and was also a non-factor on offense for the Colts last year. Hagler would best work as a special teamer elsewhere.

Beat writer Mike Chappell "seriously doubts" that restricted free agent Hank Baskett will be back with the Colts next season.

Baskett dropped the game-changing onside kick in Indianapolis' Super Bowl loss, but that's not why he won't be back. Despite considerable size and talent, Baskett has never been able to put it together on the field. His potential will still get him into a camp this summer.

Hank Baskett is a candidate to see extended playing time if/when the Colts rest their starting receivers.

Pierre Garcon is dealing with a hand injury, Anthony Gonzalez (knee) is on IR and Reggie Wayne will probably be rested. The problem is that Baskett will likely be catching passes from Curtis Painter. He's not worth an add.

Colts WR Hank Baskett said Wednesday that he feels like his head is going to explode from all the information he is taking in.

Baskett just signed with the Colts last Thursday and it's going to take him awhile to learn the system. He's no threat to Pierre Garcon or Austin Collie's snaps right now.

Colts signed WR Hank Baskett.

It's a nice pickup for the Colts, who are without Anthony Gonzalez for at least a few weeks. Baskett has good size (6'4/220) and can play special teams. He'll come in as the No. 4 receiver behind Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. The Ravens had also shown interest in the former Eagle and husband of Playboy's Kendra.

Former Eagles WR Hank Baskett made it through waivers unclaimed.

It's no surprise considering he was on the hook for a guaranteed $1.545M salary. The Ravens, Rams, and Bears could have interest in him at a lesser rate. Baskett offers size (6'4/220), big hands, and special teams ability.
