Redskins signed TE Tony Curtis.
Curtis hasn't played a down in the NFL since catching eight passes for 32 yards in a Cowboys uniform three years ago. He's just a camp body with Chris Cooley sidelined by a knee injury. Tue, Aug 16, 2011 05:06:00 PM

The Bengals worked out free agent tight ends Tony Curtis and Jason Pociask on Monday.

The Bengals have been decimated at the position since losing Reggie Kelly and Ben Utecht for the year in camp. Rookie Chase Coffman has been slow to develop. The team also worked out three defensive backs --- Brannon Condren, Emanuel Cook and DeAngelo Willingham -- and linebacker Marcus Freeman.

Ravens released TE Tony Curtis.

Curtis lasted three weeks on the roster as Baltimore's No. 4 tight end. The Ravens are good to go with Edgar Jones and L.J. Smith behind Todd Heap.

The Bills worked out free agent tight ends Tony Curtis, Joe Klopfenstein and Leonard Pope.

Bills tight end Derek Fine is listed as probable with a hamstring injury, but was inactive last week. The Bills also have rookie tight end Shawn Nelson, who looks like he could turn into a good pass-catcher, and starter Derek Schouman.

The Ravens tried out free agent TE Tony Curtis this week.

Former Steelers FB Carey Davis was also at the tryout. Baltimore may be concerned about the long-term future of L.J. Smith, who is out indefinitely with a hamstring pull. Davis could provide depth behind Le'Ron McClain.

New Eagles TE Tony Curtis (high ankle sprain) won't be able to fully practice for about a week.

Since he won't be able to practice before the first day of cuts, this is a sign that the Eagles plan on keeping Curtis to back up Brent Celek. The third tight end will likely come down to Matt Schobel or Rob Myers.

Eagles signed TE Tony Curtis.

This comes one day after it was reported the Eagles weren't going to sign Curtis because they were comfortable with Brent Celek, Matt Schobel and some camp bodies. Now it looks like Curtis will be the third tight end, taking over for Cornelius Ingram (ACL).

Even though they worked him out last Friday, the Eagles won't be signing free agent TE Tony Curtis.

Starter Brent Celek (shoulder) is back practicing and Matt Schobel (calf) seems healthy. The tight end crisis in Philadelphia is over for now.

According to Jason La Canfora, the Eagles evaluated free agent TE Tony Curtis Friday and could sign him, pending a physical.

The Eagles have been ravaged by injuries at the tight end position with Cornelius Ingram (knee) out for the season and Matt Schobel struggling with a calf problem. Curtis was cut by the Chiefs earlier this month. He would give the Eagles some depth behind Brent Celek and Schobel.

Chiefs released TE Tony Curtis.

Tight end is one of the weakest positions on Kansas City's roster and coach Todd Haley had Curtis in Dallas, so this is a big indictment of Curtis' ability.
