Bengals DT Domata Peko triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.7 million to $3.9 million.
Peko's 2014 base salary also gets an uptick, going from $3.925 million to $3.965 million. The 28-year-old recorded 53 tackles and two sacks in 2012, but his main job is to just eat up blockers to free up his teammates -- like the man lining up next to him, Geno Atkins. Peko has two years left on his current deal. Jan 30 - 10:02 PM

Bengals DT Domata Peko and LT Andrew Whitworth are organizing a two-week minicamp starting next Monday.

With Carson Palmer's future up in the air, Peko and Whitworth are the "obvious leaders" on the Bengals. Peko was voted a defensive captain last year along with Dhani Jones, who is without a contract this offseason. Whitworth, the club's player rep the past few seasons, has emerged as one of the best blindside tackles in the NFL.

Benagls NT Domata Peko (knee) particpated in OTAs and declared himself 100 percent.

Peko also said he was 100 percent for the Wild Card round loss to the Jets, but clearly wasn't. When healthy, Peko is a run-stuffing force on the interior of the Bengals' line.

Bengals NT Domata Peko (knee surgery) says he feels 100 percent despite sitting out the last five games of the regular season.

"It's feeling so great right now, like nothing ever happened," Peko said. The Bengals need Peko at 100 percent, especially after the Jets ripped off 4.5 yards per carry in Week 17. Downgrade Thomas Jones a little for this week.

Bengals NT Domata Peko (knee), DE Robert Geathers (rest), and S Chris Crocker (ankle) are fully expected to return for the Jets rematch this week.

They'll be welcomed back with open arms. The Jets dominated the line of scrimmage Sunday night, rushing for 257 yards against what had been the league's No. 2 run defense. Peko, in particular, will be a significant upgrade inside.

Bengals DT Domata Peko (knee) and FS Chris Crocker (ankle) are both listed as doubtful for Week 16 against Kansas City.

Cincinnati's run defense has been ineffective with Peko out of the lineup; Darren Sproles and LaDainian Tomlinson combined for 150 yards against the unit last week. His absence is an upgrade for Jamaal Charles' matchup.

Bengals NT Domata Peko (knee) has a chance to return for this week's game against the Chiefs.

Bengals NT Domata Peko is out at least two weeks after having his injured knee scoped on Monday.

According to the team, Peko has "a chance" to return before the end of the regular season. The Bengals pulled out Sunday's game against Detroit, but their run defense was noticeably weaker without Peko, who missed the first start of his career. Kevin Smith totaled 104 yards and a score on 18 touches.

Bengals NT Domata Peko (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Cincinnati has a plenty viable backup in space-eating youngster Pat Sims, so Peko's absence doesn't do much to help Kevin Smith's Week 13 matchup.

Bengals DT Domata Peko is considered day to day with a knee injury.

According to the team, "indications" are that the injury is not severe. The Bengals have a bye in Week 8, however, and may play it safe with Peko Sunday against the Bears. That would provide a matchup boost for Matt Forte.

Bengals DT Domata Peko will undergo an MRI on his injured knee.

Peko had the knee rolled on in Sunday's loss to the Texans. His numbers are down this season because Peko has focused more on gap control than getting up field, but he is Cincinnati's most effective interior tackle.
