He's done for the day. Golston is the Redskins' starting nose tackle.
Sep 18 - 1:18 PM

Redskins DT Kedric Golston sat out Saturday's practice with a back injury and is listed as questionable for Monday night.

It is a new injury for Golston. Late additions to the injury report are never good, and it is possible Golston is more on the doubtful side for Monday night. With Kendall Reyes (groin) also questionable, the Redskins have questions on the defensive line.
Sep 10 - 1:43 PM

Redskins re-signed DT Kedric Golston to a one-year, $1.005 million contract.

Turning 33 in May, Golston has spent his entire career in D.C. He served as NT Terrance Knighton's backup last season. Although Knighton is headed out the door, Golston shouldn't be viewed as a serious starting candidate in 2016.
Mar 9 - 10:25 AM

Redskins reserve DE Kedric Golston has back and foot injuries.

Golston's foot injury is plantar fasciitis, while he's visiting a specialist for his back. Golston is quite possibly done for the season. He's played 106 snaps.

The Redskins have elevated Kedric Golston onto the first-team defense following Jarvis Jenkins' suspension.

Jenkins will miss the first four games, and Golston is the favorite to replace him. A limited talent, try-hard player, Golston played 404 snaps in 2012 and graded out negatively as a pass rusher while earning mediocre marks in run defense, per Pro Football Focus. He's a sizable downgrade from Jenkins.

Redskins re-signed DE Kedric Golston to a three-year, $5.2 million contract.

Golston, a rotational lineman, appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins last season, registering 16 tackles. The soon-to-be 30-year-old is a solid run defender, but he offers zero pass-rush ability.

Redskins DE Kedric Golston is fully recovered from the torn MCL that ended his season in November.

Golston was a consistent member of the defensive line rotation before the injury. "I don't even notice the knee at all. I feel as good as I've felt in a long time," said Golston. "My elbows are feeling good, so I haven't felt this healthy in probably three years."

Redskins agreed to terms with DE Kedric Golston.

Golston appeared in nine games as a reserve last season, racking up 16 tackles and 1.5 sacks before landing on injured reserve with partial tears of two knee ligaments. He'll have to compete hard to keep his roster spot this year.

Redskins will place DE Kedric Golston (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Golston sustained a third-degree MCL tear and a partially torn ACL in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. It's bad timing for the sixth-year pro as he'll be an unrestricted free agent this spring. Golston's season ends with 16 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Redskins DE Kedric Golston has been diagnosed with a third-degree MCL tear and partially torn ACL.

Golston should be sidelined for at least the next few weeks, if not the rest of the season. Working as a rotational pass rusher, he's notched 16 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Kentwan Balmer will likely see the biggest increase in snaps in his absence.

Redskins DE Kedric Golston will miss a few weeks with an MCL injury.

Golston has been Washington's No. 3 defensive end, playing behind Stephen Bowen and Adam Carriker. The loss shouldn't be felt much barring a Bowen or Carriker injury. Kentwan Balmer may now step into Golston's role.

Redskins re-signed DE Kedric Golston.

Last year's starter at right end will move into a rotational role behind Stephen Bowen and second-rounder Jarvis Jenkins. The Redskins also value Golston's special teams ability.

Free agent DE Kedric Golston drew a second-round tender from the Redskins before the lockout.

Golston, a five-year veteran, is in no rush to sign elsewhere. "I'm a Redskin," Golston said. "They drafted me. This is my organization. This is my home base. I'm going to be a Redskin until somebody tells me otherwise." Golston would be no more than a rotational end if the tender sticks.

Redskins placed DE Kedric Golston (elbow, groin) on season-ending injured reserve.

Veteran Vonnie Holliday will fill in at right end for the remaining two games of Washington's nightmarish campaign. Golston, who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, has likely played his last game in a Redskins uniform despite starting 13 games this season.
