Rams placed G/C Mark Setterstrom on the reserve/PUP list.

Setterstrom, recovering from a torn triceps, will be able to return as soon as Week 7 instead of missing the season by going on injured reserve. He still may not play at all this year, but PUPing him at least gives the Rams options.

Rams G/C Mark Setterstrom did undergo surgery to repair his torn triceps prior to training camp.

Setterstrom tore the same muscle last year, and is likely at least headed for reserve/PUP to open the season. He was expected to be a versatile backup.

Rams OL Mark Setterstrom (torn triceps) is going to get a second opinion before deciding whether to have surgery.

Setterstrom is familiar with the injury after tearing the same muscle last year. He is likely hoping that he could contribute at some point late this season.

Rams OL Mark Setterstrom, who left Friday's practice with an injury, has been diagnosed with a torn triceps.

Rams linemen are dropping like flies. Rookie RT Rodger Saffold is dealing with a mild right knee sprain, LT Jason Smith is out until training camp with a stress fracture in his toe, and LG Jacob Bell is recovering from a knee scope. The Rams will have to think long and hard about putting Sam Bradford behind this line to start the season.

Rams backup Mark Setterstrom suffered an elbow injury in Friday's practice.

We normally don't post little nicks from minicamp, but Setterstrom was reportedly in a ton of pain and had a lot of immediate swelling around his elbow. This won't help cure his injury-prone reputation and it's a concern after he tore his triceps at the end of last season.

Rams re-signed G/C Mark Setterstrom to a one-year contract.

Setterstrom failed to draw a qualifying offer, so the Rams brought the injury-prone lineman back on a cheaper deal. With the signing of Hank Fraley, Setterstrom won't be counted on as a possible starter in 2010.

The Rams will not extend a restricted free agent tender to OG Mark Setterstrom.

Setterstrom, 26, has been a season-ending injury waiting to happen since entering the league, so the move isn't surprising. The Rams are hoping to re-sign the '06 seventh-round pick to a deal cheaper than the $1.176M tender.

Rams LG Mark Setterstrom tore his triceps against the Cardinals Sunday and is done for the season.

Setterstrom has been a decent backup for the interior of the miserable Rams' line this year.

Rams LG Mark Setterstrom left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with an arm injury.

Setterstrom had his arm wrapped on the sideline but hasn't returned. Roger Allen III came in to replace him. The Rams' mangled line has given up three sacks already and can't block anyone.

Rams re-signed OL Mark Setterstrom.

St. Louis couldn't justify tendering Setterstrom as a restricted free agent after he broke his patella last August, but he's back for less than $1.01M. The former Minnesota Gopher will be in the mix to back up C Jason Brown.

Mark Setterstrom did not receive a tender offer from the Rams.

The Rams still hope to re-sign the injury prone guard/center to a lesser deal, but he'll hit free agency first.

Rams placed OLs Mark Setterstrom (fractured patella) and Brandon Gorin (torn labrum) on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

Here we go again. Both need surgery. Setterstrom and Gorin were slated to be reserves, but the former was St. Louis' top backup interior lineman and Gorin was supposed to make the team. The Rams will be in trouble again this year if they lose any of their starting five OLs. They're treading on thin ice.

Rams OL Mark Setterstrom was carted off the field Saturday with a knee injury. Scott Linehan said after the game Setterstrom likely suffered a fractured kneecap.

Are the Rams offensive line injury problems starting again? The same knee knocked Setterstrom out for 13 games last season. He opened this camp as a starter, but was a reserve last week after injury issues early in camp. Linehan said the injury would likely be season-ending.

With the free agent signing of G Jacob Bell, Rams G Mark Setterstrom is a candidate to slide over to center.

Setterstrom began working on his center skills months ago, before the team even signed Bell to take his place. Setterstrom is on track with rehab to repair a torn knee ligament and will compete with Brett Romberg and others for the starting center job.
