Saints signed RB Chris Taylor, WR Andy Tanner, OT Phil Trautwein, OT Fenuki Tupou, DB Kamaal McIlwain, and NT Mitch King to reserve/futures contracts.

Undrafted out of Indiana all the way back in 2006, Taylor last suited up for the Texans in the 2008 season. He's rushed for 160 yards on 42 carries (3.8 YPC) in seven career games. Taylor won't earn a spot in the Saints' crowded backfield next season.

Patriots re-signed RB Chris Taylor.

Taylor, 26, was with the Pats in 2009 training camp, only to land on injured reserve with a shoulder problem in September. He can play both fullback and tailback, but will be a huge long shot to make the team regardless.

Patriots placed RB Chris Taylor (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Taylor is injuring himself out of the league. Once a fantasy sleeper when the Texans had no running backs, the 25-year-old's future is dim.

Patriots signed RB Chris Taylor, formerly of the Texans.

Taylor is a fringe player who couldn't stay healthy in Houston. The Pats could give him a look at fullback -- where Taylor practiced briefly with the Texans -- but he almost certainly isn't going to make the final 53.

Texans waived RB Chris Taylor with an injury settlement.

This could do it for Taylor in Houston, where the coaches gave him chance after chance but he couldn't stay healthy. The odds of Taylor resurfacing as more than a third stringer are long without ideal speed or third-down ability.

Texans placed RB Chris Taylor on injured reserve, ending his season, and activated CB Dunta Robinson (knee) from the PUP list.

The Texans had high hopes for Taylor, but he was extremely slow to recover from his injury. He is unlikely to return as Steve Slaton's primary backup in 2009 and will be exclusive rights free agent. He should be back in camp, but a roster spot isn't guaranteed. Robinson moves into the nickel back spot for now.

Texans declared RB Chris Taylor, S Dominique Barber, LB Xavier Adibi, OG Kasey Studdard, OT Rashad Butler, TE Mark Breuner, DL N.D. Kalu, and DT Frank Okam inactive for Week 6.

In a surprise, the Texans are going with Demarcus "Petey" Faggins as a starter over Fred Bennett, who's struggled this season after a promising rookie campaign. Other than that, no surprises. Matt Schaub will start.

Chris Taylor (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Week 6.

Taylor's injury has likely pushed him way down the depth chart.

Chris Taylor (quadriceps) missed another practice for the Texans on Thursday.

Taylor has fallen down the depth chart and should no longer be on most redraft rosters. He appears highly unlikely to be active against the Dolphins.

Chris Taylor (quadriceps) did not practice on Wednesday.

Taylor has fallen to third, and maybe as low as fourth, on Houston's depth chart behind rookie starter Steve Slaton, Ahman Green, and Darius Walker.
