Falcons defensive end Paul Carrington will start while Patrick Kerney recovers from an injured right pectoral muscle.

Carrington started in place of John Abraham in Week 2 and recorded two tackles. It's uncertain exactly how much time Kerney will miss, but he'll be out an "extended period." Atlanta's pass rush will suffer.

Falcons rookie free agent Paul Carrington started in place of RE John Abraham (groin) Sunday.

Second-year end Chauncey Davis also subbed for Patrick Kerney (elbow) on running downs. Carrington had 2 tackles and isn't worth your attention unless Abraham's problem is severe.
