Steelers signed CB Kevin Dockery, formerly of the Rams.

The Steelers chose Dockery over veteran Rod Hood, who was also in for a visit. Dockery has experience as a nickel back with both the Giants and the Rams. He'll battle with Keenan Lewis for a role in dime packages.

Rams CB Kevin Dockery started ahead of Bradley Fletcher in Sunday's loss to the Niners.

This one is a head scratcher, as it was not disciplinary related. Despite battling a little knee injury, Fletcher has been very effective this season. Predictably, Dockery was burned twice on the first two defensive series and Fletcher resumed his spot in the base defense. Look for Fletcher to hold the job going forward.

Rams CB Kevin Dockery left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a rib injury but returned in the second half.

Dockery, who started in place of Ron Bartell (thigh), hasn't played a full complement of snaps in the second half, as Bartell is active and getting some reps. It appears his injury is nothing to worry about, though.

Rams backup CB Kevin Dockery aggravated a hamstring injury Sunday and did not finish the game.

Dockery also took a cleat to the head and needed 13 stitches. The special teamer says he'll be ready for next week's game against the Lions.

Rams re-signed CB Kevin Dockery.

Dockery was cut last week when the team needed depth while he was recovering from a hamstring injury. He should resume nickel back duties as long as he's fully healthy.

Rams signed CB Kevin Dockery, formerly of the Giants.

Dockery, 26, is undersized at 5'8/188 and coming off an awful season. When on his game, he is a feisty nickel back and knows the Rams' scheme, having played for Steve Spagnuolo in New York. He'll be a fair bet to make the club.

The Rams are hosting free agent CB Kevin Dockery on Thursday.

Dockery was a quality nickel back as recently as 2008, but he struggled mightily last season while playing through a hamstring injury. Familiar with coach Steve Spagnuolo's defense, he'd be a worthwhile addition for the Rams.

The Giants will not extend a qualifying offer to restricted free agent CB Kevin Dockery.

The 26-year-old former nickel back struggled last season, falling behind rookie free agent Bruce Johnson. He'll be free to sign with any team starting next weekend.
