Redskins RE Stephen Bowen has been diagnosed with a torn upper biceps, but will play through the injury in Week 16.

Bowen is in the same boat as Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs. The Redskins' starting right end, Bowen has just 24 tackles and one sack, but has graded out as a top-13 3-4 defensive end in Pro Football Focus' rankings.

Redskins RE Stephen Bowen is recovering from an April left knee scope.

He's sitting out OTAs, but expects to be 100 percent in 2-4 weeks. Bowen suffered a third-degree right PCL tear last November, but says the operation "(wasn't) really" related. Bowen played through the injury, appearing in all 16 games. He's unlikely to participate in June's mandatory minicamp, but sounds like he'll be ready for training camp.

Redskins DE Stephen Bowen has been diagnosed with a third degree PCL tear, but does not require surgery and has yet to be ruled out for Week 13.

Coach Mike Shanahan called the situation "not good," but refused to rule Bowen out for Sunday. In all likelihood, Bowen won't play against the Jets, but he should be able to avoid injured reserve. In the first season of a five-year, $27.5 million deal, Bowen has tallied 29 tackles and five sacks.

Redskins agreed to terms with DE Stephen Bowen on a five-year, $27.5 million contract.

Here come the Redskins. The 27-year-old Bowen has shown real flashes of pass rush ability in a rotational role with the Cowboys and is versatile enough to hold up well against the run as well. Knowing Dan Snyder, this won't stop the 'Skins from still going after free agent DE Cullen Jenkins also. Bowen's deal includes $12.5 million in guarantees.

The Bears are reportedly interested in free agent DE Stephen Bowen.

Multiple league sources tell the Chicago Sun-Times that Bowen could "surprise" casual football fans with his eventual contract, which could take the money-conscious Bears out of the mix. While the report sounds agent-driven, Bowen is young, productive, and versatile.

Free agent DE Stephen Bowen's preference is to re-sign with the Cowboys.

"I know Dallas wants me," said Bowen, "and I'd love to be back." The Cowboys hope to keep at least one or two of Bowen, Marcus Spears, and Jason Hatcher. Bowen's agent has already had discussions with the Cowboys as well as a few other teams.

Bryan Broaddus of ESPN Dallas has "heard from a source" that the Redskins have interest in free agent DE Stephen Bowen.

Broaddus is a former NFL scout and presumably still has connections in the league. Bowen has also been speculatively linked to the Redskins by some Washington beat writers. Of course, the Skins are often used by agents trying to drum up their clients' market. Bowen would play end in D.C., rotating with Adam Carriker, Vonnie Holliday, and rookie Jarvis Jenkins.

Free agent DE Stephen Bowen has changed agents to Pat Dye in anticipation of hitting the open market.

This may be notable because Dye brokered DeMarcus Ware's seven-year, $79 million contract in October of 2009. Bowen is known to prefer re-signing with Dallas, and the Cowboys want him back too. A starting point for Bowen could be teammate Igor Olshanksy's four-year, $18 million pact. Bowen has been more effective than Olshansky of late and is two years younger.

Free agent DE Stephen Bowen "appears" to believe he will re-sign with the Cowboys regardless of the league rules for the 2011 season.

The five-year veteran was tendered at the second-round level, but his free agency could end up unrestricted after the lockout is lifted. Either way, there's a good chance he'll be returning to Dallas as a rotational end in Rob Ryan's defense.

Cowboys extended second-round restricted free agent tenders to DEs Stephen Bowen and Jason Hatcher.

Both players have accrued five seasons, putting them in position for unrestricted free agency under the next CBA. With Marcus Spears expected to depart, the Cowboys will work hard to lock up Bowen after he fared well in nine starts last year. Hatcher could be brought back as well.

Cowboys re-signed restricted free agent DE Stephen Bowen to a one-year, $1.759 million contract.

Bowen, 26, generated 17 quarterback hurries on 478 snaps last season, easily outdoing LE Marcus Spears (10 pressures, 535 plays). He'll also make more money than Spears this year. It's definitely not out of the question that Bowen could overtake the Cowboys' incumbent for a starting job.

Cowboys extended a second-round tender offer to restricted free agent DE Stephen Bowen.

Bowen was a valued member of an underrated defensive line last season, helping to turn around the run defense. Safe at the second-round tender, Bowen is slated to earn $1.759 million this year.

Impending restricted free agent Stephen Bowen is a candidate for a long-term deal, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Bowen will be 26 next season and had three sacks in 2009 during limited playing time. He's shown flashes of being able to rush the passer from the end spot of Dallas' 3-4 defense. Bowen could be Marcus Spears' eventual successor.

Cowboys signed restricted free agent DE Stephen Bowen to a one-year, $1.545 million contract.

Bowen made 17 tackles as Dallas' fourth end last season. The 25-year-old isn't much of a pressure player, but figures to see an uptick in playing time behind Igor Olshanksy and Jason Hatcher with Chris Canty gone.
