Seahawks agreed to terms with QB Brady Quinn, formerly of the Chiefs.
Quinn beat out Matt Leinart, Tyler Thigpen and Seneca Wallace for the right to back up Russell Wilson, at least for now. A poor scheme fit behind read-option maven Wilson, Quinn was absolutely dreadful in 197 pass attempts for the Chiefs last season, completing just 56.9 percent of his throws. That number was accompanied by a 60.1 QB rating, 5.8 yards per attempt and 2:8 TD:INT ratio. Considering Quinn's lack of running ability and long track record of failure, Seattle probably isn't done making moves at quarterback. Apr 9 - 5:59 PM

ESPN's Ed Werder reports the Seahawks were "most impressed" with Brady Quinn at Monday's four-QB tryout, and hope to sign him as Russell Wilson's backup.

Quinn worked out along with Matt Leinart, Seneca Wallace and Tyler Thigpen. It's good that Quinn was impressive in person, as he certainly wouldn't be impressive on film. He's also a polar opposite to Wilson in terms of skill-set. A point in Quinn's favor is his cheap price, but it's not as if any of Leinart, Wallace and Thigpen would be expensive.

The Seahawks will work out four free agent quarterbacks on Monday: Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, Seneca Wallace, and Tyler Thigpen.

It sounds like the best workout performer will get a contract offer. Leinart played for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll at USC. Quinn has generated next to no free-agent interest. Wallace turns 33 in August and is the elder statesman of the group. Thigpen is athletic with experience in the Pistol Spread offense.

ESPN New York says the Jets "may still" sign free agent Brady Quinn even after signing David Garrard on Monday.

GM John Idzik wants as much "competition" for Mark Sanchez as he can get, but Quinn is even more inaccurate than Sanchize. Quinn has a history with QBs coach David Lee, who reportedly loves him. The Jets already have five quarterbacks on the roster.

The New York Daily News confirms free agent Brady Quinn is on the Jets' "radar."

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported last month that New York was Quinn's most likely destination. The Jets have also worked out David Garrard. Quinn is the kind of "competition" Mark Sanchez would embrace. Quinn's 60.1 QB rating would have been the worst in the league (by far) last season had he thrown enough passes to qualify.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL 32 that free agent Brady Quinn will likely end up with the Jets.

Per Mortensen, the Jets plan to sign two free-agent quarterbacks. Quinn has history with new Jets QBs coach David Lee, who "likes (Quinn) a lot." New York will reportedly bring five quarterbacks to training camp, not including Tim Tebow. In this scenario, Quinn, Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy, and Matt Simms would account for four, and they'd add one more free-agent veteran to the mix.

Brady Quinn completed 7-of-16 passes for just 49 yards in Kansas City's Week 17 loss to the Broncos, throwing for zero touchdowns or interceptions.

A dismal end to an incomprehensibly bad season. Although Quinn wasn't quite Matt Cassel's equal in the turnover department, he proved every bit as inept at moving the ball. Across 10 games and eight starts, the former first-round pick could manage just 1,138 yards passing and two touchdowns to go along with eight interceptions. Quinn's astoundingly bad raw numbers are supplemented by a 56.8 completion percentage and 5.8 yards per attempt. They could quite possibly be the final nail in Quinn's "career." He's proven without a doubt he's not No. 2 QB material.

Brady Quinn completed just 10-of-22 passes for 162 yards and two interceptions as the Chiefs fell to the Colts in Week 16.

He did more to help fantasy owners of the Indianapolis defense than his own team. Quinn made a terrible throw on Kansas City's first drive, and the pass was intercepted by CB Darius Butler for an easy 32-yard pick six. Quinn also got a referee gift on what would've been a Vontae Davis interception in the third quarter in the end zone. The Chiefs are now 1-8 when Quinn appears in games this season. They'll close out the 2012 season at Denver in Week 17.

Brady Quinn (ribs) will start Sunday's game against the Colts.

He was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Quinn's rib injury turned out to be a mere scare. He earns the honor of getting back under center behind a decimated offensive line and trying to throw to receivers that can't separate. Over the last two games, Quinn has completed just 52.8 percent of his passes and the Chiefs have scored a total of seven points. It's a bad sign for Ricky Stanzi's future that he can't even get a late-season look here.

Brady Quinn is being evaluated for a rib injury.

Quinn never checked out of Sunday's shutout loss, so it's doubtful his injury is anything serious. Since leading the Chiefs past the Panthers in Week 13, Quinn has completed just 28-of-53 passes for 295 yards, zero scores and two interceptions. The journeyman former first-round pick is going to have trouble finding back-up work in 2013.

Brady Quinn completed 18-of-32 passes for 136 yards and an interception at Oakland in Week 15.

Quinn's offense failed to dent the scoreboard against a defense allowing the most points in the NFL. The Chiefs didn't even cross midfield until the third quarter. Quinn had a chance to score late in the game, but ended up taking a delay of game call on 4th-and-goal. He's been held under 200 yards in seven of eight games this season.

Brady Quinn completed 11-of-22 passes for 159 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception in the Chiefs' Week 14 loss to Cleveland.

Quinn predictably couldn't carry his Week 13 magic over into this game. He absorbed five sacks, threw with typical inaccuracy, and Kansas City's offense simply didn't move when Quinn wasn't handing the ball to Jamaal Charles. Even against a porous Raiders pass defense in Week 15, Quinn will be a bottom-barrel two-quarterback league option. Ideally, he'd be on fantasy waiver wires.

Brady Quinn completed 19-of-23 attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns against the Panthers.

Quinn was only sacked once and was able to maneuver through the little pressure he faced in the pocket. The Chiefs were helped by a sustainable running game, but Quinn led them to victory due to a lack of mistakes. He added 12 rushing yards on three carries.

Brady Quinn completed 13-of-25 passes for 126 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception in Kansas City's Week 12 loss to the Broncos.

Unlike Matt Cassel, Quinn played largely mistake-free football, but he simply couldn't get anything going, either downfield or in the short-to-intermediate game. OC Brian Daboll dialed up a host of deep balls, and Quinn never came close to completing any of them. In his defense, his pick came on a last-second hail mary, but even that throw fell well short of its intended landing spot. Quinn simply isn't talented enough to threaten NFL defenses. The Chiefs have given no inclination they're ready to give third-stringer Ricky Stanzi a look, but at this point, there's no reason not to.

Brady Quinn will start Sunday's game against the Broncos.

As expected. Quinn took over for an ineffective Matt Cassel at halftime of last week's loss to the Bengals. He predictably struggled as well, completing 9-of-14 passes for 95 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. Now he faces a red-hot Broncos' defense and could be without top wideout Dwayne Bowe (neck). Even owners in two-quarterback formats can do better. In 14 career starts, Quinn has completed 53.1 percent of his passes, averaged 144.9 yards per game and throwing 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
