Free agent OLB/DE Quentin Moses worked out for the Patriots on Wednesday.
Moses is the third free agent pass rusher to be worked out by the Patriots this week, joining Matt Roth and Raheem Brock. He tallied 18 tackles and one sack in 15 games for the Dolphins last season. He'd likely serve as an outside linebacker in New England's 3-4 scheme. Wed, Aug 3, 2011 07:55:00 PM

Quentin Moses and Charlie Anderson were the Dolphins starting outside linebackers at OTAs last week.

It's a surprise that Moses is running ahead of Cameron Wake. With Joey Porter and Jason Taylor gone, this season was supposed to be Wake's coming out party. We suspect Wake will overtake Moses by the time Week 1 rolls around.

Dolphins re-signed restricted free agent OLB Quentin Moses to a one-year, $1.101 million contract.

A third-round pick by the Raiders in 2007, Moses has failed to provide pass rushing production while bouncing around the league. He's fallen behind Charlie Anderson and Cameron Wake on the depth chart, and Miami is likely to add an outside linebacker early in the draft.

The Dolphins have tendered OLB Quentin Moses at the low (original pick) restricted free agent level.

Moses was originally a third-round pick, so other teams are unlikely to pursue him. Once considered among the top pass rushers college football, Moses' skills haven't translated to the pros. He has three sacks in three years.

Dolphins OLB Quentin Moses has played 40 snaps in the preseason and still doesn't have a tackle.

He's fallen to third string on the depth chart at weak outside linebacker behind Joey Porter and Charlie Anderson and is in danger of getting cut.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano specifically pointed out Quentin Moses as a possible beneficiary of Jason Taylor's departure.

He has to beat out Charlie Anderson first, but Moses is a sleeper to post 6-8 sacks this year if he earns a starting gig. Moses was cut by two teams last summer and is unlikely to ever get an opportunity like this again if he fails.

The new Dolphins front office "really liked" Quentin Moses in last year's draft, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The former Dallas execs may have written off taking Moses after snapping up Anthony Spencer in round one. Assuming the 'Fins don't use the No. 1 pick on Chris Long, Moses could push Charlie Anderson to be their No. 3 OLB.

Dolphins signed rookie DE Quentin Moses.

Moses was waived by the Raiders despite being their third-round pick this season and then he was subsequently signed and released by the Cardinals. Despite the early setbacks, this is a good risk by the winless Dolphins as they look for help along the line and Moses could help as a pass rusher.

The Chiefs worked out free agent DE Quentin Moses on Thursday.

The Cardinals are trying to sign Moses back to their practice squad, but he'll explore his options first. The Chiefs are probably looking at Moses as a situational pass rusher, but not as active roster material.

Cardinals released LB/DE Quentin Moses.

He's fallen a long way from being a potential top-ten pick only a year ago. Moses was also cut from Oakland after training camp.

Cardinals claimed DE Quentin Moses off waivers from the Raiders.

We suspect they'll give Moses a chance to play with his hand up, but the former Georgia Bulldog isn't overly athletic. He may struggle for playing time in Arizona as he picks up a new system and potentially a new position.

Raiders released DE Quentin Moses.

Moss was the first pick of the third round and was seeing reps as the Raiders' starting DE early in camp, but lost the job to converted guard Tommy Kelly. He lost the backup job to fifth-rounder Jay Richardson.

Quentin Moses has been seeing most of the reps as the Raiders' starting right defensive end during training camp.

He appears to have passed Kevin Huntley. Moses may come off the field on obvious running downs but could rack up a few sacks if he keeps the gig.

Raiders signed third-round DE Quentin Moses to a multi-year contract.

Moses had a terrific junior year but decided to return to school as a senior and floundered. His pre-draft workouts were also unremarkable. The Raiders, nonetheless, believe Moses could challenge to start immediately.

Third-round draft pick Quentin Moses will get a chance to be the Raiders' starting right defensive end as a rookie.

Tyler Brayton has kicked inside. The winner of the Moses-Kevin Huntley battle isn't likely to see many double teams opposite Derrick Burgess.
