Seahawks re-signed RB Chris Henry.

Henry, a former second-round washout, spent most of last year on Seattle's practice squad before landing on practice squad/I.R. with a leg injury. Having earned 32 career carries through four seasons, Henry's outlook isn't bright.

Seahawks placed RB Chris Henry (leg) on practice squad/injured reserve, ending his season.

The team released no details on Henry's leg injury. The former second-round pick spent the majority of the season on the Seahawks' practice squad. He appeared in just one game this season without a carry.

Seahawks waived RB Chris Henry.

The former second-round pick was signed over the weekend to provide depth at the running back position.

Seahawks signed RB Chris Henry off the practice squad, and released T Breno Giacomini.

Henry provides little more than roster depth for the Seahawks as a fourth halfback. He's hands-off in fantasy.

Seahawks signed RB Chris Henry to their practice squad.

The physical freak of nature was recently cut loose by the Texans after losing out to Jeremiah Johnson and Derrick Ward for a roster spot. The Seahawks' picture at tailback is unsettling, but Henry won't make any waves.

Texans informed RB Chris Henry of his release.

It's a pretty damning statement about Henry's NFL career considering the Texans don't have another healthy back behind Arian Foster. Jeremiah Johnson (toe) will end up making the team, and free agent Derrick Ward could be signed to provide insurance in Week 1.

Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Chris Henry and Jeremiah Johnson will compete over the next three weeks for the No. 3 running back job.

"Chris and Johnson will go head-to-head in the second half of these (preseason) ball games, and we'll see what happens," Kubiak said. Henry has had an impressive camp, but he always looks much better in practices than games. We're giving the slight edge to Johnson.

Texans RB Chris Henry has had an "outstanding" camp, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain.

This really isn't surprising. Henry tends to shine in practice and is an impressive physical specimen, which is why the Titans overdrafted him. He'll be lucky to make the roster behind Arian Foster, Steve Slaton, and Ben Tate.

Texans declared RB Chris Henry, CB Mark Parson, OG Tutan Reyes, QB Dan Orlovsky, CB Fred Bennett, OT Ephraim Salaam, and DE Tim Jamison inactive for Week 16.

Arian Foster is expected to get another shot to carry the load this week, but it's hard to trust him after getting pulled early last week.

Texans declared RB Chris Henry, WR Glenn Martinez, SS Nick Ferguson, CB Mark Parson, OG Tutan Reyes, DE Tim Bulman, DT Frank Okam, and QB Dan Orlovsky inactive for Week 14.

The backfield work will be split amongst Chris Brown, Ryan Moats, and Arian Foster, with none of them meriting starting status in fantasy leagues. Jacoby Jones gets his return job back after one week off, and rookie Antonie Caldwell has displaced Chris White at right guard.

Texans signed RB Chris Henry off their practice squad.

Henry, 24, assumes fourth tailback duties behind starter Chris Brown, new third-down back Arian Foster, and third-stringer Ryan Moats. A former second-round pick, Henry is unlikely to see any touches down the season's stretch.

The Texans are expected to activate RB Chris Henry from the practice squad Tuesday.

This doesn't bode well for Steve Slaton's (neck) chances of playing this week. Slaton was expected to visit a spine specialist Tuesday, so we should have an update on his status by the end of the day.

The Texans are expected to sign free agent RB Chris Henry to their practice squad.

It's a better fit for Henry than the Redskins would have been. Backup Chris Brown is injury-prone, and Ryan Moats is more of a role player. Henry will battle undrafted rookie Arian Foster to be the first to get a shot should one of the backs get injured. He's an extreme long-shot for fantasy value.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn said on his radio show that the team will not be signing free agent RB Chris Henry.

Henry visited with the Redskins on Monday. It would have been a weird signing with Ladell Betts and Marcus Mason chomping at the bit and Clinton Portis getting 25 carries last week.
