Giants claimed WR Chris Davis off waivers from the Bengals.

A slot receiver type with some possible punt return value, Davis will be a major long shot to make a Giants receiver that's loaded with wide receivers.

Bengals waived WR Chris Davis.

The former Titan was signed in March, before the Bengals added Antonio Bryant, Jordan Shipley, and Dez Briscoe. He had no chance to win a roster spot in training camp, so the Bengals did him a favor by cutting ties now.

Bengals signed WR Chris Davis, formerly of the Titans.

This is the former fourth-rounder Chris Davis from Florida State, who was with the Titans as recently as November. He'll battle Matt Jones and Jerome Simpson for the final receiver spot in Cincinnati while providing kickoff return experience.

Titans released WR/KR Chris Davis.

Davis was signed just three days ago to compete for a spot in the return game, but it looks like he's lost out to Alvin Pearman.

Titans re-signed WR Chris Davis.

The Titans remain in dire straits in the return game, so Davis will get a shot at both kickoff and punt returns. He was originally released in August after a training camp hamstring injury as well as a DUI arrest.

Free agent WR Chris Davis will work out for the Rams Tuesday.

Davis was released by the Titans with an injury settlement last month. The Rams are really thin at receiver and Keenan Burton is struggling to get separation. Davis can also return kicks.

Titans released WR Chris Davis with an injury settlement.

The 2007 fourth-rounder had a nice showing in OTAs, but the Titans no longer had a need for him after a training-camp hamstring injury and a DUI arrest.

Titans waived/injured WR Chris Davis.

Davis was impressive during OTAs, but lost that momentum in camp. After a weekend DUI, the 2007 fourth-round pick's Titans career is probably over.

Titans receiver Chris Davis has been arrested and charged with DUI.

Davis was arrested at 4:00 a.m. local time and his blood-alcohol concentration was reportedly 0.11 percent. He was already firmly on the bubble to make the team, so it's looking like this will push him right off it. He was the team's fourth-round pick in 2007 and has seven career catches.

Titans WR Chris Davis has been out since the Hall of Fame Game with a hamstring injury.

Showing improved work ethic, Davis had moved up to the No. 3 receiver spot behind Justin Gage and Nate Washington before his injury. Now, he's lost it to Kenny Britt. Davis has been out 10 days and risks not making the roster.

Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger cites a questionable work ethic as the reason for WR Chris Davis' struggles the past two seasons.

"I think Chris knows what he's supposed to do now. And I think Chris is working at it," Heimerdinger said. "I'm not sure Chris worked at it last year. I think he just kind of took it and said, 'OK, I'm not in the top three.'" By all accounts, the light has flipped on for Davis this year, and he's the favorite for the No. 4 receiver job.

The third-year pro has impressed in the offseason and coach Jeff Fisher sounds like he wants to get him on the field.

Titans 2007 fourth-round WR Chris Davis has been one of the most improved players in offseason practices.

The light has reportedly flipped on for Davis, who has just seven receptions in two years with the Titans. Though he won't be a fantasy factor this season, Davis could work his way up to fourth on the depth chart while seeing time in the slot. He'll have to fend off Lavelle Hawkins to do that.

Titans WR Chris Davis is reportedly the favorite to be the Titans' primary slot receiver.

Davis was built to be a slot receiver in the NFL. He's not the fastest, but he has good hands. His emergence would damage Brandon Jones' value even further, and also that of Courtney Roby.
