Panthers QBs coach Ken Dorsey interviewed for the Bills' vacant offensive coordinator position.
Dorsey flamed out in the NFL after a successful college career quarterbacking Miami's juggernauts in the early-2000s, but he has earned a name for himself as a position coach in four seasons with the Panthers. Coach Sean McDermott obviously knows Dorsey from their time together in Carolina, and he seems like the only real candidate for the job at this point. It would not be surprising if he lands it. Former Browns QB Ken Dorsey has signed with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts.

Dorsey, who posted a 0:7 TD-to-INT ratio in three seasons with the Browns (2006-2008), was out of football last year. In Toronto, he'll compete with Cleo Lemon, Gibran Hamdan, Dalton Bell, and Danny Brannagan for playing time.

Browns released QB Ken Dorsey.

Dorsey made three spot starts when Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn were hurt late last year. He completed a disturbingly bad 47.3% of 91 attempts with a 4.1 YPA and threw seven picks without a touchdown. Eric Mangini doesn't care that Dorsey and Quinn are friends. He cares that Dorsey can't play.

The National Football Post reports that the Browns have released QB Ken Dorsey, LB Antwan Peek, and CB Terry Cousin.

The moves haven't been announced by the team, but all make sense. Peek is the only player here with potential, but he's been too injury prone to realize it.

Browns placed Ken Dorsey (ribs, concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Dorsey has kept a job in the league because he's intelligent and good in meetings, but he showed he doesn't have any potential on the field. He completed less than 50% of his passes and averaged only 4.1 YPA in four appearances in 2008. We suspect he won't be back next season.

Browns QB Ken Dorsey (ribs, concussion) is not expected to play in Week 17.

Cleveland will go with Bruce Gradkowski at Pittsburgh. Dorsey proved in late season play that he's exactly what we thought he was: a third stringer at best with no upside. He's uncertain to return to the Browns in 2009.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel revealed Monday that Ken Dorsey suffered a mild concussion and a rib injury in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.

"We might have to depend on Josh (Cribbs) a little bit more," Crennel added. It's about time. Cribbs' arm strength isn't any worse than Dorsey's and he offers far more athleticism under center. It doesn't sound like Dorsey will be available for Week 17 at Pittsburgh. The Browns' other QB options are Bruce Gradkowski and Richard Bartel, who is on the practice squad.

The Browns sat quarterback Ken Dorsey down late in the fourth quarter against the Bengals.

To put it briefly, Dorsey was awful. His replacement Bruce Gradkowski promptly entered the game and threw an interception, so Dorsey could be back to starting next week. He was 10-for-17 for 68 yards and three interceptions before mercifully being taken out.

Ken Dorsey completed just 11-of-28 passes for 156 yards and threw two interceptions as the Browns lost to the Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 15.

Dorsey was predictably hurried all night by an aggressive Eagles defense. He threw a terrible ball right to Asante Samuel near the end of the first half and Samuel easily returned it 50 yards for a touchdown. Dorsey went into halftime 4-of-10 for 82 yards and continued his losing ways in the second half, throwing an awful pick to an Eagles linebacker in the third quarter.

Ken Dorsey completed 22-of-43 passes for 150 yards and an interception against the Titans in Week 14.

Dorsey’s pop-gun arm makes Chad Pennington look like the Mad Bomber. His two minute drill takes six and a half minutes. With Josh Cribbs taking significant snaps out of the shotgun, even desperate owners in two-QB leagues should look for other options next week at Philly.

Ken Dorsey is expected to be the Browns' starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

The ultimate dink-and-dunk passer, Dorsey will greatly limit the Browns' ability to go downfield. Dorsey's career YPA is a miserable 5.4 in ten starts and his completion rate is 53.9. Dorsey might not even have made the Browns if he wasn't such close friends with Brady Quinn. Expect defenses to load up against Jamal Lewis in Cleveland's last four games.

Browns QB Ken Dorsey entered at the end of the game for an injured Derek Anderson and proceeded to go 0-for-3 with a game-ending interception.

It's tough entering on second and long in the middle of a two-minute drill. Still, the brief performance did nothing to inspire confidence in any Browns players fantasy chances against the Titans next week if Dorsey is starting.
Sun, Nov 30, 2008 04:03:00 PM

Browns signed QB Ken Dorsey to a three-year contract extension.

Financial terms weren't disclosed, but it's probably not far off the minimum with a decent signing bonus. With Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn likely entrenched in front of him for 2008, Dorsey won't be playing anytime soon barring multiple injuries. The Browns value his veteran presence, but he's never been very good in games.

Bills declared QB Ken Dorsey (3rd QB), DB Kenny Wright, DB Ricardo Colclough, C Marvin Philip, LB Antwan Peek, G Isaac Sowells, WR Travis Wilson, and DT Louis Leonard inactive in Week 15.

Like with the Bills, none of these injuries are as important as the snowy and rainy conditions in Cleveland today. Still, as we mentioned earlier, only use the weather as a tie breaker when deciding who to play.

Browns declared QB Ken Dorsey, CB Eric Wright, DB Ricardo Colclough, G Isaac Sowells, C Greg Eslinger, NT Ethan Kelley, WR Travis Wilson and DE Orpheus Roye inactive for Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Braylon Edwards will play despite sitting out practice time with a hamstring injury and should be in all lineups.
