Rowe, a fifth-round pick in 2007, will stick around for the offseason program as the No. 3 quarterback. Also signed off the practice squad: TE Robbie Agnone, TE Rob Myers, DL Adrian Grady, DL Darryl Richard and WR Darnell Jenkins.

Seahawks signed QB Jeff Rowe off the Bengals practice squad.

A rare quality pickup for GM Tim Ruskell. A fifth-round pick out of Nevada in 2007, Rowe offers some mobility and can throw on the run. He was a highly accurate passer in college and profiles well in a West Coast passing attack. Rowe certainly has more long-term potential than Charlie Frye.

Bengals waived QB Jeff Rowe.

The coaches decided to go with Carson Palmer's brother Jordan over Rowe, their fifth-round pick in the '07 draft. Palmer has the stronger arm.

Bengals signed fifth-round QB Jeff Rowe to a multi-year contract.

Rowe doesn't have the biggest arm but is accurate and has good experience coming from Nevada as a three-year starter. He'll likely be the Bengals' emergency QB as a rookie, behind Carson Palmer and Doug Johnson.

Bengals selected Nevada QB Jeff Rowe with the No. 151 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Thus maybe taking them out of the running for Tim Rattay and making Doug Johnson their clear-cut backup. Rowe doesn't have a huge arm but has ideal size and drew raves in the postseason, garnering MVP honors at the East-West Shrine. He's Cincinnati's new "backup of the future."
