Chargers TE Dante Rosario scored three touchdowns on four catches to go along with 48 receiving yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.
Without Antonio Gates, Rosario saw most of the goal line tight end work and it paid off in the form of three scores. However, on all three Rosario was fairly wide open and almost seemed to be unaccounted for by the Titans' defense. He did leave at one point in the game but returned after what appeared to be a minor injury or cramps. Sun, Sep 16, 2012 07:39:00 PM

Date:

Chargers signed TE Dante Rosario to a one-year contract.

Rosario, 27, is athletic at 6-foot-4, 250 and can run down kicks and punts on special teams. He'll likely compete directly for a roster spot with Kory Sperry. The Chargers' top two tight ends are Antonio Gates and Randy McMichael.

Broncos re-signed TE Dante Rosario.

Rosario will provide some depth while Julius Thomas recovers from his high-ankle sprain. The pass-catching tight end was released by the Broncos at final cuts earlier this month.

Dolphins released TE Dante Rosario.

Rosario failed to catch a pass in Miami's first two games. He was a luxury as the third tight end, but could be re-signed down the road.

Dolphins signed TE Dante Rosario and OL Ryan Cook.

Rosario isn't much of a blocker, but can stretch the field a bit and play special teams. Cook has starting experience at just about every line position.

The Dolphins worked out free agent TE Dante Rosario Sunday.

Rosario was just released by the Broncos Saturday. The Fins were awarded Will Yeatman on waivers, which could close the door to a Rosario signing.

Broncos released TE Dante Rosario.

A good pass catcher, Rosario's release comes as a bit of a surprise since he played for new Broncos HC John Fox the past four seasons in Carolina. However, his numbers have never quite matched his athleticism. Denver appears set to go with Daniel Fells as its primary tight end.

Broncos agreed to terms with TE Dante Rosario, formerly of the Panthers.

Reunited with coach John Fox, Rosario is expected compete with Dan Gronkowski for the Broncos' "off-the-line" tight end job. It's an indication that rookies Virgil Green and Julius Thomas won't be rushed into the lineup early in the season. We'd steer clear of Denver's tight ends for fantasy purposes, though Rosario is probably the best bet to lead the crew in catches.

Free agent TE Dante Rosario has set up a visit with the Broncos.

We called this one awhile ago. The Broncos are looking for a veteran tight end who can pitch on special teams, and Rosario played under coach John Fox in Carolina. He won't be back with the Panthers.

Free agent TE Dante Rosario isn't sure if the Panthers will re-sign him this summer.

"I could be with Carolina; there's a good chance I will," Rosario said. "Or, I could for another reason be with another team. That's still unknown." With Jeremy Shockey now on board, the Panthers may choose between Rosario or Jeff King as the backup. The consolation prize could be reuniting with coach John Fox in Denver.

Panthers extended restricted free agent tenders to TE Dante Rosario, DB C.J. Wilson, DTs Derek Landri and Ed Johnson, K Rhys Lloyd, and LB Jordan Senn.

The lone "real" restricted free agent here is Senn, a special teamer and reserve outside linebacker. The remaining players have four to five years of experience and are expected to be unrestricted free agents after the CBA.

Panthers TE Dante Rosario was held catch-less in Week 17.

He finishes with 26 catches for 313 yards and two touchdowns, which was a slight improvement from his 2008 line (18/209/1). Rosario can get downfield and flashes every now and again, but has never had a consistent role on offense. Gary Barnidge is a more dynamic threat, though Rosario should have a spot on the roster in 2010 because of his special teams value.

Dante Rosario caught four balls for 62 yards in Week 12.

Rosario's seven targets tied for the team lead with Steve Smith, but Rosario did much more with them. He brings to the table seam-stretching speed and was effective on outlet passes down the sideline. Still, Rosario shares time with Jeff King and Gary Barnidge. No Panthers TE is a fantasy asset.

Panthers TE Dante Rosario (knee) missed practice on Monday.

Rosario played in Week 10 against Atlanta, catching just one pass for 11 yards. He'll likely face Miami on Thursday night, but isn't a fantasy option.

Panthers TE Dante Rosario (questionable, knee) practiced in full Friday.

Rosario will serve as Carolina's No. 2 or 3 tight end against the Falcons.
