ESPN's Pat Yasinskas does not expect the Saints to re-sign free agent WR Devery Henderson.
Henderson never quite lived up to his potential with the Saints, operating as a mere situational deep threat throughout his eight years with the club. Entering his age-31 season, he can expect a soft market. Henderson is our No. 31 free-agent wideout available this season. Feb 12 - 10:45 AM

Devery Henderson caught one pass for 16 yards in the Saints' Week 17 loss to the Panthers.

When Lance Moore missed Week 5 due to a hamstring injury, Henderson put 123 yards and a touchdown on the Chargers. In his other 15 games, he totaled 14 catches for 193 yards and no touchdowns. Henderson will likely be seeking a new home with a clearer path to playing time as he hits unrestricted free agency.

Devery Henderson caught just one pass for three yards in Week 11 against the Raiders.

Henderson was targeted just the one time on the day. He's so far down in the pecking order and isn't worthy of a fantasy roster spot.

Devery Henderson was held without a catch versus the Falcons in Week 10.

Henderson had the ball bounce off his out-stretched hands on a shot play and flat-out dropped his other target. With Jimmy Graham and Lance Moore back to full health, Henderson is no longer deserving of a roster spot in fantasy leagues.

Devery Henderson caught just one pass for eight yards in Week 9 against the Eagles.

Henderson saw just three targets on the night. He's no better than the fourth or fifth option in the passing game and is on pace for an 18/560/2 line at the season's midpoint. Henderson is no more than a WR4/5 in fantasy.

Devery Henderson was held without a catch in the Saints' Week 8 loss to the Broncos.

Henderson's doughnut came despite four targets. Although he combined for 11 catches and 198 yards in Weeks 5 and 7, there's no reason to believe Henderson will emerge as a consistent WR4/5 during his age-30 campaign.

Devery Henderson caught three passes for 75 yards against the Bucs in Week 7.

Henderson caught all three targets thrown his way on Sunday. His big catch was of the 40-yard variety where the Bucs had a miscommunication in coverage. Henderson is always going to be a big play threat, but he doesn't see enough passes his way to be more than a bye week fill-in option.
Sun, Oct 21, 2012 05:46:00 PM

Devery Henderson caught eight passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in New Orleans' Week 5 win over the Chargers.

With Lance Moore out with a hamstring injury, Henderson stepped up for his first 100-yard game since last Week 2. He was a part of history on New Orleans' first scoring drive, where he got behind the entire Chargers secondary for a 40-yard touchdown. The score gave Drew Brees at least one touchdown in 48 consecutive games, a new NFL record. Regardless, the big night shouldn't be taken as a sign that Henderson can be trusted as a WR3/4 in fantasy leagues. He remains nothing more than a desperation fill-in option.

Devery Henderson caught four passes for 53 yards versus the Chiefs in Week 3.

Henderson provided Drew Brees with a much-needed vertical threat on a 36-yard catch early. He tweaked his ankle on the play, but returned shortly after having it taped. Inconsistent from week to week, Henderson isn't roster worthy in 12-team leagues.

Devery Henderson (concussion) is listed as probable for Week 3.

Henderson returns as a clear-out route runner along the sideline, keeping the field open for teammates down the seam. He's not a fantasy football option.

Devery Henderson (concussion) has been cleared to resume practicing, and was a full participant in Wednesday's session.

Henderson was held out of Sunday's loss after making one catch for 11 yards in the opener, but will be good to go for Week 3. He remains little more than a desperation fill-in in fantasy leagues.

Saints declared WR Devery Henderson, CB Johnny Patrick, RB Chris Ivory, RB Travaris Cadet, DL Tyrunn Walker, OT Bryce Harris and DL Turk McBride inactive for Week 2 versus the Panthers.

With Henderson out, Lance Moore should be close to an every-down receiver as a legit WR2/3 option. Joseph Morgan and Greg Camarillo are active behind Moore and Marques Colston.

Devery Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 2.

Joe Morgan should see the most significant boost in snaps as a result of Henderson's absence, although he'll likely operate mostly as a clear-out route runner. Lance Moore is now a player to consider as a WR3 against the Panthers. Moore racked up 120 yards and a touchdown on six catches in the opener.

Devery Henderson (concussion) was held out of practice again on Thursday.

Interim coach Aaron Kromer said the team will err on the side of caution with Henderson. If he sits out against the Panthers, Joe Morgan will likely see an increase in snaps. Morgan is not yet a reliable fantasy option.

Saints WR Devery Henderson has been diagnosed with a concussion, and was held out of Wednesday's practice.

Henderson suffered the injury in Sunday's loss, where he was held to one catch for 11 yards. He's in a race against time to be cleared for New Orleans' tilt with the Panthers. Even with the departure of Robert Meachem, Henderson remains little more than a desperation fill-in deep threat in fantasy leagues.
