Free agent DE Ray McDonald was arrested again on Wednesday, this time for violating a restraining order.

Santa Clara (CA) Police were informed Wednesday that McDonald visited a home he was prohibited from visiting two days after being arrested for domestic assault and child endangerment. The restraining order stems from Monday's Memorial Day arrest. Wednesday's arrest took place at 2:52PM PT. Cut by the Bears two days ago, McDonald has now been arrested five times since 2010.

Ex-Bears DE Ray McDonald is accused of breaking down his ex-fiancée's bedroom door and trying to take off with their infant child.

The details come from the 911 call placed by McDonald's ex-fiancée. The call came at 3:48 AM local time. McDonald has been charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment.

Bears released DE Ray McDonald.

McDonald was immediately placed on a no-tolerance policy when the Bears signed him this past March. He was arrested on Monday for domestic violence and child endangerment after allegedly assaulting a woman who was holding a baby. McDonald will likely face a stiff penalty from the NFL. We would not bet on 31-year-old McDonald playing another down in the league.
May 25 - 4:27 PM

According to the Santa Clara Police Department, Bears DE Ray McDonald is accused of physically assaulting a woman "while she was holding a baby."

The charge is misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment. Full details of the alleged assault still haven't been made public. Considering McDonald's history, it would be a surprise if he played in the NFL this year.

Updating an earlier item, Bears DE Ray McDonald has been arrested on charges of domestic violence and child endangerment.

McDonald's third arrest in nine months will undoubtedly earn him his release from the Bears, and has likely ended his NFL career. McDonald, who is going on 31, has become a poisonous asset.

Bears DE Ray McDonald has been arrested on a domestic violence charge.

This is the third time McDonald has been accused of violence against women in the last nine months. Details on this incident are still emerging, but there's a possibility of child endangerment as well. McDonald previously escaped discipline from both the police and the NFL on the first two incidents, one of which was an alleged rape that occurred during a party and another alleged domestic incident of a pregnant woman. The Bears signed McDonald, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year, non-guaranteed $1.05M contract in March. Expect him to be cut shortly as GM Ryan Pace tries to save face.
May 25 - 11:58 AM

Bears DE Ray McDonald will not face punishment for a domestic violence incident that occurred last August.

An NFL investigation found McDonald was not in violation of the personal conduct policy. The league continues to look at a second incident involving an alleged sexual assault, though charges were dropped and McDonald is suing the accuser. The 49ers waived McDonald after the latter incident. Despite the off-field drama, the 31-year-old still landed a one-year deal with Chicago.
Apr 26 - 12:34 PM

Bears agreed to terms with DE Ray McDonald, formerly of the 49ers.

McDonald has been accused of violence against women twice in the past seven months, but escaped charges both times. The second incident cost him his 49ers roster spot, but McDonald is now suing the woman who accused him of sexual assault. Going on 31, McDonald will be reuniting with ex-49ers DC Vic Fangio in Chicago. McDonald remained one of the league's better 3-4 ends last season, but it's surprising he's found a new team so quickly considering his off-the-field issues. He'll be on a short leash in Chicago, but will have the inside track on a starting job if he stays out of trouble. McDonald turns 31 in September.
Mar 24 - 1:57 PM

Free agent DE Ray McDonald is suing the woman who accused him of sexual assault in December.

McDonald was never charged in the incident, but it cost him his 49ers roster spot. Going on 31, McDonald hasn't generated an iota of interest in free agency.
Mar 16 - 9:45 AM

Free agent DE Ray McDonald won't be charged after being accused of sexual assault in December.

McDonald was accused of violence against women twice in four months last year, but escaped charges both times. December's allegations cost him his 49ers roster spot. Despite the dropped charges, teams are unlikely to pursue McDonald in free agency. He's going on 31, and has had issues with the law since at least 2010.
Mar 5 - 1:38 PM

The woman accusing free agent DE Ray McDonald of sexually assaulting her claims McDonald did so after she passed out.

The woman says McDonald raped her after she "hit her head on the ground" by a pool, passing out. Her story gets suspicious when she admits she woke up the next day and continued to party with McDonald and 49ers OLB Aldon Smith. McDonald has not been formally charged with any crime.

49ers waived LE Ray McDonald.

It's been a long time coming for McDonald. Wednesday's announcement that McDonald is a suspect in an alleged rape from last week that took place at his home was the final straw for the 49ers. It also helps that they're out of the playoff race. McDonald has had a number of off-field red flags, ranging from DUI, all-night partying, felony domestic violence arrest in August, and now this. The 49ers will eat over $4.6 million in dead money against the 2015 salary cap by releasing him.

49ers LE Ray McDonald is being investigated by the San Jose Police Department on a rape allegation that was reported last Tuesday.

A search warrant has been issued for McDonald's home, and the judge signed it on Tuesday. McDonald was in the news over summer after he was arrested on felony domestic violence charges. Those charges were eventually dropped. But he now has a potential sexual assault case on his hands. It'll be interesting to see if the 49ers choose to stand by McDonald's side as they did over summer.

49ers LE Ray McDonald briefly exited Week 13 against the Seahawks with a finger injury.

McDonald injured his finger bracing a fall in the first quarter. He missed three series before returning to the game.
