Colts signed G/C Andy Alleman.

Alleman is an interior backup. He wasn't tendered an offer by the Chiefs this offseason after coming over in a trade with the Dolphins last season. Alleman was a third-round pick by the Saints in 2007.

The Chiefs are not expected to tender an offer to restricted free agent OG Andy Alleman.

Alleman came over with Ike Nduwke in a trade with the Dolphins last year. An interior backup, Alleman won't draw much interest on the open market.

Andy Alleman will step in for Mike Goff (injured reserve, shoulder) as the Chiefs' starting right guard.

It's not really a downgrade for the Chiefs, but Alleman won't help the situation either. This remains one of the worst offensive lines in the league.

Chiefs acquired OG Andy Alleman from the Dolphins for a 2010 draft choice.

The cost was likely a late-round draft pick. Alleman was bench-bound in Miami, but the Chiefs need all of the help they can get on the offensive line. He could push right guard Mike Goff for the starting job.

Dolphins claimed G Andy Alleman off waivers from the Saints, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.

Alleman was New Orleans' third-round pick out of Akron in 2007 and the Dolphins needed the depth at guard, where they're highly inexperienced.

Saints waived G Andy Alleman, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.

Alleman was a third-round pick in 2007, but he may be too much of a finesse lineman for the Saints' scheme. The Colts could give him a look.

The New Orleans Saints agreed with third-round pick OG Andy Alleman on a three-year, $1.6 million dollar contract, including a $489,000 signing bonus.

The deal includes league minimum base salaries of 2007: $285,000, 2008: $370,000 and 2009: $460,000. The Akron product is expected to compete for the No. 3 guard job behind starters Jamar Nesbit and Jahri Evans.
