Rams signed LB Will Herring.
Herring, 31, takes the place of recently released special teams LB Ray-Ray Armstrong. Herring is a strict special teamer himself. He'll bring a much needed veteran presence to a team that is taking too many penalties. Tue, Oct 7, 2014 10:53:00 PM

Saints re-signed LB Will Herring to a one-year contract.

The six-year veteran was just released by the Saints nine days ago because he was due $1.6 million in 2013. Herring, a pure special teams player, likely signed back on for the veteran minimum.

Saints placed LB Will Herring (MCL sprain) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Herring suffered the injury in Week 17. Rookie Nate Bussey is expected to be promoted from the practice squad to take his place. A backup and special teamer, Herring recorded just nine tackles in the first season of a three-year contract.

Saints agreed to terms with OLB Will Herring on a three-year contract.

Herring has made just seven starts in his first four NFL seasons, operating mostly as Seattle's fourth linebacker. He should enter a competition with Jonathan Casillas and rookie Martez Wilson at each of the outside spots. We'd avoid the Saints' linebackers in IDP leagues aside from MLB Jon Vilma.

Seahawks extended LB Will Herring an original pick, restricted free agent tender.

Herring served as Seattle's No. 4 linebacker last season. The Auburn alum made eight tackles on special teams and 36 (30 solo) on defense. As a four-year veteran, though, Herring's free agency is unlikely to remain restricted.

Seahawks LB Will Herring is expected to play through a small fracture in his wrist this weekend.

Herring sustained the injury in last week's game. He's been sporting a cast this week. The injury has not limited him in practice, and he doesn't expect it to be a major concern on Sunday. Herring could end up starting on the weak side if Lofa Tatupu (concussion) doesn't gain clearance.

Updating a previous item, Will Herring will be the Seahawks' starting weak-side linebacker until LeRoy Hill (groin) returns.

He got the nod over D.D. Lewis. Herring, a special teamer to this point in his career, will be the weakest bet for tackles in Seattle's linebacker corps.

The special teamer had microfracture surgery in the offseason.

Seahawks LB Will Herring (knee) is hoping to be activated from the PUP list and play this Sunday against the Bucs.

Herring missed the first six weeks and most of training camp after undergoing knee surgery. He is strictly a special teams player.

Seahawks placed LB Will Herring on PUP and T William Robinson on IR.

Herring is dealing with a knee injury, and could be activated after the sixth week of the season, depending on the Hawks' situation at linebacker. Robinson was carted off the field in Seattle's first preseason game with an ankle injury. He needs to spend the year bulking up.

Seahawks signed fifth-round LB Will Herring to a four-year contract. The deal includes a $163,000 signing bonus.

He’s probably just a special teamer at this point. The Auburn product could be looking at a position change, as he’s undersized to play linebacker in the NFL. Herring does have experience at safety from his early college days.
