Mitchell fits best as an early-down inside linebacker. He'll give the Dolphins depth there while trying to make the club as a special teamer. The signing could signal the end for Austin Spitler, who is nursing an ankle injury.

Mitchell was seen winching and grabbing his lower back after he made a tackle. He returned following halftime to force a big goal line fumble.

A backup linebacker, Mitchell will return as one of New Orleans' core special teamers. Though moderately productive in kickoff coverage (eight ST tackles in '09), Mitchell lacks the range to be a legitimate full-time option at either of the Saints' problematic outside linebacker positions.

With Jonathan Vilma (knee) limited, Mitchell saw action at MLB during OTAs, but we have a hard time believing he'd fit well at the WILL. Mitchell is big and a hitter, but lacks speed. Mark Simoneau might provide better competition.

It's not going to happen, but Peterson is set up for another run at Eric Dickerson's single-season record of 2,105 yards.
