Saints signed TE Derek Schouman and WR Marques Clark.
A 2009 knee injury has derailed Schouman's career after he started 15 games for the Bills in 2008. He was out of the league last season. A Henderson State star back in 2005-06, Clark played for the California Football Alliance's National City Bears last season. Needless to say, he's the longest of long shots. Bills TE Derek Schouman is out 3-6 weeks after sustaining a knee injury in Thursday's preseason game.

Bills TE Derek Schouman expressed optimism about his knee after being carted off the field in Sunday's win.

Third-year pro Derek Schouman is expected to start for the Bills at tight end in Week 1.

Schouman, a former seventh-round pick, is the most versatile of the Bills' tight ends, while rookie Shawn Nelson is the best pass-catcher. Derek Fine also figures to be in the mix as a blocker as the team replace Robert Royals. Maybe if the team combined all three into one player they'd have something useful.
