Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Daily News reports the Eagles are expected to keep OL Allen Barbre.
Barbre was reportedly given permission to seek a trade, but he apparently did not find any quality offers. While he may lose his starting job at left guard to sophomore Issac Seumalo, Barbre is a quality, versatile swing lineman who is only owed $2.1 million in 2017. The 32-year-old will be a free agent next spring. Mar 9 - 11:05 AM

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports the Eagles have given LG Allen Barbre permission to seek a trade.

Barbre was a quality player in 2016 despite being forced to play multiple positions and is owed a reasonable $2.1 million, but the Eagles seem set to move on. It is certainly possible they get a late-round pick from a team in need of line help. 2016 third-rounder Issac Seumalo will likely replace Barbre at left guard.
Mar 4 - 12:01 PM

Eagles declared Allen Barbre (hamstring), Jordan Matthews (ankle), LB Mychal Kendricks (quad), CB Dwayne Gratz, OL Josh Andrews, OL Dillon Gordon, and DT Taylor Hart inactive for Week 17 against the Cowboys.

Barbre has established himself as a solid starter at left guard, but he will be 33 in June and missed four games due to injury this season. Still, the Eagles may look to lock him up to a short-term extension this offseason. Barbre is set to be a free agent after the 2017 season.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre was forced from Week 16 against the Giants with a hamstring injury.

He's done for the night. Barbre suffered a setback with the hamstring issue he's been dealing with the last few weeks. Stefen Wisniewski replaced Barbre at left guard.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre (hamstring) is listed questionable for Week 16 against the Giants.

Barbre is fully expected to play. With RT Lane Johnson back from his 10-game suspension, Barbre will kick back to left guard next to Pro Bowl LT Jason Peters.

Eagles RT Allen Barbre (hamstring) is questionable for Week 15 against the Ravens.

Despite the questionable tag, Barbre looks highly unlikely to play after sitting out every practice this week. With Halapoulivaati Vaitai (knee) still out, the Eagles will turn to rookie Isaac Seumalo at right tackle if Barbre cannot play. A guard by trade, Seumalo would be the fifth player to start at right tackle for the Eagles this season.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson expects RT Allen Barbre (hamstring) to play this week.

Barbre was forced from Week 14 with a hamstring injury. Pederson does not expect him to practice Wednesday, but he thinks he will play. With Halapoulivaati Vaitai nearing his return, Barbre could also find himself back at left guard this week.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre (hamstring) is expected back at practice Wednesday.

If all goes well, he should return this week. The Eagles' line had a dominant performance against the Falcons Sunday, and getting Barbre back will only help.

Eagles declared LG Allen Barbre (hamstring), S Terrence Brooks (hamstring), LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (hamstring), DT Taylor Hart (ankle), DE Steven Means, OL Dillon Gordon, and OL Josh Andrews inactive for Week 10 against the Eagles.

With Barbre out, Stefen Wisniewski should continue to fill in at left guard. The Eagles will get back DT Bennie Logan and have the services of CB Leodis McKelvin. Both are important players with the Falcons in town.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre is inactive for Week 9 against the Giants.

Barbre was ruled out early in the week. He'll be replaced in the starting lineup with Stefen Wisniewski. The rest of the Eagles' inactives are DT Bennie Logan, LB Kamu Grugier-Hill, OL Dillon Gordon, DT Taylor Hart, and OL Josh Andrews.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre is week to week with a hamstring strain.

Barbre went down in the first half of Sunday night's game against the Cowboys. It is another blow to an offensive line that is already missing RT Lane Johnson (suspended). Stefen Wisniewski should start at left guard while Barbre is out.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre suffered a hamstring injury in Week 8 against Dallas.

Barbre went down in the first half and didn't return. It's another blow to an Eagles' offensive line that's in decline without Lane Johnson. Barbre was replaced with Stefen Wisniewski.

Eagles moved former LG Allen Barbre to right tackle.

Barbre appeared to have solidified himself at left guard after starting there in the preseason opener, but the Lane Johnson's 10-game suspension forced a change. It is slightly odd the Eagles decided to disturb two spots on the line instead of inserting Dennis Kelly at right tackle, but it is clear they view Barbre as the better option. Third-round pick Isaac Seumalo has taken over as the first-team left guard.
Mon, Aug 15, 2016 10:55:00 AM

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Allen Barbre is the starter at left guard.

"Right now, it is Allen Barbre's job," Pederson said. "I really like where we're at. I like the depth at that position right now. But yeah, Allen Barbre is my guy and he's our starter." Pederson can say what he likes this early in the offseason, but the Eagles have to be interested in replacing Barbre after he struggled through 16 starts last season. Stefen Wisniewski and third-rounder Isaac Seumalo should challenge him in training camp.

Allen Barbre opened Eagles OTAs as the starting left guard.

Barbre started all 16 games at left guard last season, but it was thought newly-signed G/C Stefen Wisniewski would take the job this year. He still might, but Wisniewski was working as the second-team center on Tuesday. With the other four spots locked in, left guard is the only training camp battle to watch along the Eagles' offensive line.
