Eagles declared LG Allen Barbre (hamstring), S Terrence Brooks (hamstring), LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (hamstring), DT Taylor Hart (ankle), DE Steven Means, OL Dillon Gordon, and OL Josh Andrews inactive for Week 10 against the Eagles.

With Barbre out, Stefen Wisniewski should continue to fill in at left guard. The Eagles will get back DT Bennie Logan and have the services of CB Leodis McKelvin. Both are important players with the Falcons in town.

Eagles LG Allen Barbre is inactive for Week 9 against the Giants.

Barbre was ruled out early in the week. He'll be replaced in the starting lineup with Stefen Wisniewski. The rest of the Eagles' inactives are DT Bennie Logan, LB Kamu Grugier-Hill, OL Dillon Gordon, DT Taylor Hart, and OL Josh Andrews.
Nov 6 - 11:39 AM

Eagles LG Allen Barbre is week to week with a hamstring strain.

Barbre went down in the first half of Sunday night's game against the Cowboys. It is another blow to an offensive line that is already missing RT Lane Johnson (suspended). Stefen Wisniewski should start at left guard while Barbre is out.
Oct 31 - 1:18 PM

Eagles LG Allen Barbre suffered a hamstring injury in Week 8 against Dallas.

Barbre went down in the first half and didn't return. It's another blow to an Eagles' offensive line that's in decline without Lane Johnson. Barbre was replaced with Stefen Wisniewski.
Oct 30 - 10:15 PM

Eagles moved former LG Allen Barbre to right tackle.

Barbre appeared to have solidified himself at left guard after starting there in the preseason opener, but the Lane Johnson's 10-game suspension forced a change. It is slightly odd the Eagles decided to disturb two spots on the line instead of inserting Dennis Kelly at right tackle, but it is clear they view Barbre as the better option. Third-round pick Isaac Seumalo has taken over as the first-team left guard.
Aug 15 - 10:55 AM

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Allen Barbre is the starter at left guard.

"Right now, it is Allen Barbre's job," Pederson said. "I really like where we're at. I like the depth at that position right now. But yeah, Allen Barbre is my guy and he's our starter." Pederson can say what he likes this early in the offseason, but the Eagles have to be interested in replacing Barbre after he struggled through 16 starts last season. Stefen Wisniewski and third-rounder Isaac Seumalo should challenge him in training camp.
May 21 - 1:59 PM

Allen Barbre opened Eagles OTAs as the starting left guard.

Barbre started all 16 games at left guard last season, but it was thought newly-signed G/C Stefen Wisniewski would take the job this year. He still might, but Wisniewski was working as the second-team center on Tuesday. With the other four spots locked in, left guard is the only training camp battle to watch along the Eagles' offensive line.
May 17 - 12:25 PM

Allen Barbre is expected to be the Eagles' starting left guard following the release of Evan Mathis.

Barbre was originally expected to take over for outgoing RG Todd Herremans, but the former tackle is a better fit on the left side. Matt Tobin, Andrew Gardner, Dennis Kelly and whatever guard Chip Kelly picks up off the scrap heap will compete for the right guard spot. One of the top run-blocking units in the league the last two years, the Eagles' offensive line should regress in 2015.

Allen Barbre will be the Eagles' starting right guard this season.

The Eagles dumped veteran mainstay Todd Herremans in part because they are very high on Barbre, who was given a contract extension a year ago. So he joins an offensive line that was dominant in 2013 but regressed under the weight of injuries and poor play in 2014. Barbre is not a downgrade from Herremans.

Eagles placed RT Allen Barbre on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain, ending his season.

Barbe is expected to undergo surgery. He was filling in for suspended RT Lane Johnson, who can't return before Week 5. The Eagles will roll with journeyman Andrew Gardner in the meantime. Barbre's start against the Jaguars on Sunday was his first since 2009, though he appeared in 15 games last season. On the wrong side of 30, Barbre is signed on the cheap through 2017.

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Eagles RT Allen Barbre (high-ankle sprain) is expected to undergo surgery that could "end his season."

It further thins an Eagles offensive line now down four of its top seven players, and means journeyman Andrew Gardner will have to fill in at right tackle until Lane Johnson's suspension is up. Philadelphia's depth is being severely tested one year after its offensive line helped fuel a run to the top of the NFC East. Barbre's status should be updated sometime in the coming days.

Eagles RT Allen Barbre has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

It's a week-to-week injury that will probable sideline Barbre at least for Week 2, and possibly even longer. With RT Lane Johnson serving a four-game suspension to open the season, Barbre got the start in Week 1. If the NFL and NFLPA can agree to a new drug policy, it's possible Johnson's suspension could be lifted. If not, the Eagles will likely start Andrew Gardner at right tackle vs. Indy.

Eagles RT Allen Barbre suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Jaguars.

Barbre is filling in at right tackle during Lane Johnson's four-game suspension. The severity of his injury is unknown, but the Eagles need him to get right fast. Evan Mathis suffered a knee injury Sunday and Matt Tobin (ankle) is week to week. This Eagles offensive line that was dominant last year is thinning out quickly.

CSN Philly envisions Allen Barbre pushing Todd Herremans for the Eagles' starting right guard job.

Barbre will open the season at right tackle while Lane Johnson serves a four-game suspension for a PED violation. But after signing Barbre to a three-year extension earlier in the offseason, the Eagles plan on using him more. He's a plus athlete who can play both guard and tackle. Herremans is 31 and has a $4.2 million cap number. He struggled as a pass protector last season.
