Offensive line coach Paul Alexander believes Nate Livings has played well enough to keep his starting left guard job in 2011.

Livings nailed down the starting job last year in large part because Evan Mathis was returning from a foot injury in training camp. Mathis has been the better player the past two years, but he's set to reach free agency this season. The Bengals can do better than Livings, who has struggled to protect Carson Palmer.
