Cardinals released WR Chansi Stuckey.
Devoid of playmaking ability, Stuckey washed out as the fourth receiver in Arizona after being miscast as a slot receiver in Cleveland. The four-year veteran will have to fight for roster spot this summer, and it's conceivable that his career has run its course at age 28. Fri, Mar 16, 2012 07:24:00 PM

Cardinals agreed to terms with WR Chansi Stuckey on a two-year, $3.5 million contract.

Arizona was never in on the bigger name receivers after losing Steve Breaston. It's a vote of confidence for Early Doucet and Andre Roberts, who should be able handle the second-receiver role between the two of them. Stuckey is strictly a third or fourth option, lacking playmaking ability and best suited for the slot.

Browns declined to tender WR Chansi Stuckey, making him an unrestricted free agent.

A Mangini era holdover, the 27-year-old Stuckey caught 40 balls for 346 yards last season. His complete lack of playmaking ability shows up in his yards per reception average (8.7) and touchdown total (zero). The Browns, hopefully, will try to get faster in the receiver corps this offseason.

Chansi Stuckey lost a critical fumble during overtime in Sunday's loss to the Jets.

Stuckey made a nice catch-and-run that pulled the Browns near field-goal range, but fumbled at the tail end of the play. It didn't lead directly to the Jets' score, but it was clearly the mistake of the game. Stuckey ended up with four catches for 27 yards, highlighting his low upside as a slot receiver on a ball control team.

Browns WR Chansi Stuckey caught five passes for 54 yards in the team's Week 5 loss to the Falcons.

Stuckey's best game entering Week 5 was a five-catch, 56-yard effort in Week 4, but otherwise he's generated lines of just 30, 11, and zero yards in five contests. He's a fine little slot receiver, but not a fantasy option.

Browns WR Chansi Stuckey caught five balls for 41 yards in Week 15.

Stuckey led Cleveland in catches, targets, and receiving yards, but continues to play off the bench in a highly inconsistent manner. The former Jet and Eric Mangini favorite is not a fantasy option even in deep leagues.

Chansi Stuckey led the Browns with 44 yards on four receptions against the Bengals in Week 12.

Stuckey tied for the team lead in targets with eight, and he appears to have finally sewn up the No. 2 receiver role. Still, he belongs on waiver wires in a lousy passing offense.

Chansi Stuckey caught five passes for 76 yards and one touchdown in Week 11 against the Lions.

Stuckey came into the game with just one catch since being traded from the Jets to the Browns, but got an easy 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter when William James bit on play-action with zero safety help deep.

Browns WR Chansi Stuckey (calf) was held out of Thursday's practice.

Stuckey has just once catch since coming over from the Jets in Week 6. He won't be a fantasy option for the rest of the season.

Chansi Stuckey was held catch-less in Week 6 against the Steelers.

Stuckey has zero catches since coming over in a trade from the Jets prior to Week 5. The Browns started Sunday's game in a two-receiver set of Josh Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi. Besides the latter, reserve Brian Robiskie (1-23) was the only Browns wide receiver to catch a pass. Mike Furrey did return one kick for 12 yards, while Cribbs gained 45 yards rushing out of the Wildcat and returned a kick 98 yards for a touchdown.

Browns acquired WR Chansi Stuckey from the Jets as part of the Braylon Edwards deal.

Stuckey was the Jets' No. 2 receiver, but he was the third option behind Jerricho Cotchery and Dustin Keller. Once Stuckey gets acclimated to Cleveland's system, he'll be their No. 2 receiver as well by default. Rookie Mohamed Massaquoi broke out last week, but Mike Furrey, Josh Cribbs and Brian Robiskie fill out the weak corps. Stuckey is a smooth possession receiver, but isn't good enough to be a fantasy option in this offense.

Chansi Stuckey was held to 11 yards on two catches against the Titans in Week 3.

Stuckey was targeted six times, including a tipped ball that landed in Chris Hope's hands for an interception. The Jets No. 2 receiver is not worth rostering except in the deepest of leagues.

Chansi Stuckey caught four passes for 37 yards against the Patriots in Week 2.

Stuckey had a third-quarter touchdown overturned on replay and then stumbled and fell on a would-be touchdown the next play. As the third or fourth option in the passing game, his production will continue to be spotty.

Chansi Stuckey had four catches for 64 yards and touchdown Sunday.

Most of his yards came when the Texans blew their coverage and left Stuckey wide open down the middle of the field for a 30-yard touchdown. The Jets ran some wide receiver screens for Stuckey but he was clearly behind Jerricho Cotchery and Dustin Keller in the receiving pecking order.

Chansi Stuckey has won the Jets No. 2 receiver job, as expected.

Coach Rex Ryan indicated as much last week, when he said that it's still going to be a committee approach but Stuckey will be there to open the game. We're not bullish on his chances for fantasy success.
