Cardinals DE Calais Campbell (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 8.

He was limited in practice all week. Campbell's initial return timetable was 3-4 weeks, but he's progressed ahead of schedule. We suspect Campbell would play a limited role against the Eagles if he's activate for the game.
Oct 24 - 3:39 PM

Cardinals DE Calais Campbell (knee) has progressed to "jogging" and is expected to be back for Week 8.

Campbell sprained his MCL in Week 5 against the Broncos on a heavily scrutinized low block by Julius Thomas. Coach Bruce Arians doesn't expect to see Campbell play this week. Ed Stinson will get another start at right end.
Oct 14 - 8:49 PM

Cardinals DE Calais Campbell will miss 3-4 weeks with an MCL sprain.

For what it's worth, coach Bruce Arians put Campbell's timetable in the 1-3 week range. Either way, it's a huge blow to Arizona's defense, which since last season has now lost Darnell Dockett, Daryl Washington, Karlos Dansby, and John Abraham. Patrick Peterson also limped off the field Sunday with an apparent foot injury. Campbell is easily Arizona's best front-seven player. They play the Redskins next.
Oct 5 - 7:36 PM

Cardinals DE Calais Campbell exited Sunday's Week 5 game against Denver with a knee injury.

He's not expected to return. The Cardinals have played competitive defense for the most part despite a litany of injuries, but Campbell's loss could be a real back breaker.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Calais Campbell (neck) will play in Thursday's game against the Seahawks.

Campbell will suit up just four days after a scary scene that saw him carted off and taken to a hospital for testing. It's excellent news for the Cardinals if they're going to spring an upset. Campbell is annually one of the best 3-4 ends in football.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell (neck) is expected to play in Thursday night's game against the Seahawks.

It's a relief considering Campbell was stretchered off the field with numbness and tingling in his extremities just four days ago. After undergoing CT scans and MRIs Sunday night, he was fully cleared. If Campbell is a surprise late scratch, Ronald Talley will get the start.

RE Calais Campbell (neck) returned to Cardinals practice Tuesday, getting in a limited session.

It puts Campbell on track to play Thursday against the Seahawks, but it's quite possible he'll end up a game-time decision. The best course of action may be holding Campbell out and giving him 10 days to rest up for Week 8.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports doctors believe Cardinals RE Calais Campbell will be "sore but OK" after Sunday's Week 6 neck injury.

Campbell was hospitalized following the scary injury, but could move all of his extremities and appears to have avoided significant damage. Through six games, Campbell has three sacks and a forced fumble. Arizona's next game is against Seattle on Thursday night. Campbell seems unlikely to play.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell was carted off the field with an apparent neck injury in Sunday's Week 6 game against the 49ers.

Campbell went low on a tackle attempt in the fourth quarter and was then immobilized before being taken away. He had movement in his extremities, but it's since been announced that Campbell experienced some tingling and will undergo further testing. Campbell is one of the best 3-4 ends in football.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell suffered a quadriceps injury on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's opener against the Rams.

Campbell was a full participant Wednesday and Thursday before missing Friday's session altogether. If not for J.J. Watt, Campbell would be in the discussion as the best 3-4 defensive end in the game. His loss would be a big one. If Campbell were to miss, some combo of Ronald Talley, Matt Shaughnessy, and Frostee Rucker would fill in. It'd be a boon to Daryl Richardson's Week 1 outlook.

Cardinals DEs Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett are allowed to be more "aggressive" and "create penetration" in DC Todd Bowles' new defense.

"They want us to shove (offensive linemen) back and be able to shed blocks quicker and make tackles in the backfield, which I think Dockett and myself would be very, very good at," said Campbell. "We’re very athletic." Campbell didn't have any troubles in previous DC Ray Horton's "two-gap" scheme, but Dockett was openly displeased. Campbell has a chance to be an even bigger star. The 6-foot-8, 300-pound 26-year-old has 14.5 sacks and a J.J. Watt-esque 18 batted passes over the last two seasons.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt expects LE Calais Campbell (calf) back for Week 13 against the Jets.

Campbell said he'd be back for Week 12, so take this with a minor grain of salt. However, coaches are usually more realistic about injuries than players. The two games Campbell has missed since the Week 10 bye are one more than he missed through his first four NFL seasons. His return is bad news for Mark Sanchez.

Cardinals LE Calais Campbell (calf) expects to return for Week 12.

Per the Cardinals' official website, Campbell is "confident" he'll be ready to play against the Rams. The Cardinals managed to create an impressive amount of havoc in Campbell's absence in Sunday's loss in Atlanta, but are an infinitely better unit with Campbell in the fold.
