Calais Campbell said the Jaguars plan to use him as a defensive end.
He should still play snaps inside, but the Jaguars will give their new defensive weapon more opportunities on the edge than he saw in Arizona. "That was appealing," Campbell said. "[I] didn't get many opportunities the last couple years, but when I have, I've succeeded." Campbell is a candidate to record double-digit sacks for the first time in his career. Mar 20 - 9:07 PM

Jaguars signed DE Calais Campbell to a four-year, $60 million contract.

The deal includes $30 million guaranteed. An agreement was revealed Wednesday, but Campbell waited to shake hands until after he could use the Broncos to get the Jags to up their offer from $14 million annually to $15 million. He's an expensive Jared Odrick replacement, but a massive one. After years of on-paper teases, the Jags might finally have a fearsome defensive line.

Jaguars agreed to terms with DE Calais Campbell, formerly of the Cardinals.

The deal is worth $14 million annually, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Campbell figures to play right end in Jacksonville where the Jaguars have been using bigger linemen ever since ex-coach Gus Bradley took over the team. DC Todd Wash is a holdover from Bradley's regime and will likely keep the same scheme. Campbell not only is stout against the run, but he gives the Jaguars much needed pass-rush skills from the position that previous REs Jared Odrick and Red Bryant didn't show. It's a huge get for the Jaguars as they continue to stockpile defensive talent.

ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini reports the Jaguars are expected to sign free agent DE Calais Campbell.

It would be a continuation of the Jags' years-long free agent splurge on defensive linemen. Campbell would be making the transition from Arizona's 3-4 to a crowded 4-3 in Jacksonville. Coming off a huge year in Arizona, Campbell is Rotoworld's No. 1 free agent defensive lineman.

Mike Klis of 9 News Denver reports the Jaguars are "in play" for impending free agent DE Calais Campbell.

Campbell is not expected to re-sign with the Cardinals. He is a questionable scheme fit in Jacksonville, but he would fit the organization's recent modus operandi in free agency, specifically paying top dollar for defensive linemen. Campbell has also been linked with the Broncos.

9 News Denver's Mike Klis reports free agent DE Calais Campbell is high on the Broncos' wish list, perhaps No. 1 if they don't pursue Tony Romo.

The Broncos have made it known that fixing both their defensive and offensive lines is a priority for 2017. Campbell might be the top 3-4 end available and went to high school in Denver. He's entering his age-31 season, but Campbell remained one of the best at his position last season, recording 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Campbell could command $12 million-plus per year.
Mar 5 - 9:47 AM

Impending free agent DE Calais Campbell will meet with the Cardinals at the Combine.

After using the franchise tag on OLB Chandler Jones, it seems unlikely the Cardinals will be able to retain Campbell as well, but they certainly should give it a shot. Even going on 31, Campbell is the most impactful defensive lineman available on the market and should land a massive deal. With S Tony Jefferson also headed to free agency, Arizona's defense could take a big hit this offseason.

ESPN's John Keim reports it is "likely" the Redskins pursue impending free agent DE Calais Campbell.

The match makes sense. Campbell is one of the highest-impact defensive linemen available, while Washington needs playmakers in their front seven. There will be plenty of other teams interested if Campbell hits the market, however, and Keim questions whether the Redskins are willing to get in a bidding war for a 30-year-old. Campbell has also been linked to Denver, and it will not be surprising if he ends up re-signing with Arizona.

The Denver Post suggests free agent DE Calais Campbell could be a fit for the Broncos.

Campbell has earned All-Pro honors in two of the last three seasons. The 30-year-old grew up in Denver. Joel Corry of CBS Sports believes Campbell will surpass Michael Bennett's three-year, $31.5 million contract. Upgrading the defensive line is a priority after Denver's run defense collapsed last season.

Cardinals GM Steve Keim said there’s no timetable for an extension with contract-year RE Calais Campbell.

Campbell has been a top 3-4 end the last few years and is only entering his age-30 season, but re-signing him could be difficult with the Cardinals’ cap situation. Locking up Tyrann Mathieu is Arizona’s top priority.

The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals are not shopping RE Calais Campbell.

A "report" surfaced Monday from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Arizona had placed Campbell on the trade block, citing "word on the street." The Sun-Sentinel has the least reliable NFL coverage in the nation, and therefore is never used as a Rotoworld source. Predictably, the report was unfounded and baseless. A contract extension for Campbell is much more likely than a trade.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell is open to restructuring his contract.

Campbell currently has a $14.75 million 2015 cap hit. He isn't a candidate for a pay cut, but could convert some of his $9M salary into a signing bonus. Campbell had sports hernia surgery earlier this month and expects to be ready for OTAs.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell (sports-hernia surgery) expects to be ready for OTAs.

Campbell went under the knife last week. Coming off another excellent season, the 29-year-old (in September) Campbell is due $9 million in 2015.

Cardinals RE Calais Campbell will have sports hernia surgery during the first week of February.

The injury clearly isn't bothering Campbell too much as he played through it during the season and will participate in Sunday's Pro Bowl. Campbell, arguably the game's finest 3-4 end this side of J.J. Watt, will be ready by camp. Sports hernia surgeries usually come with a 6-10 week recovery timetable.
