Lions added TE Cornelius Ingram to their practice squad.
We note this practice squad signing only because of Ingram's upside as a pass-catcher. If he can ever get over his dual ACL surgeries, he'll threaten to return to an active roster. The Lions obviously think Ingram has a chance to do so. Wed, Sep 7, 2011 08:16:00 AM

Eagles waived TE Cornelius Ingram, DB Jamar Wall, WR Rod Harper, LB/DE Chris Wilson, C A.Q. Shipley, FB Stanley Havili, C Dallas Reynolds, and RB Graig Cooper.

Ingram has never rediscovered the explosiveness he showed at Florida after multiple ACL tears. He's believed to be headed to the practice squad. Cooper held his own in the preseason finale and could be another candidate for the squad.

The explosion TE Cornelius Ingram showed as a rookie in 2009 "just isn't there anymore," according to beat writer Jeff McLane.

Ingram hasn't been the same since his second ACL tear to the same knee back in 2009. This is his third camp with the Eagles, and he's yet to play in a regular season game. Ingram "doesn't appear to be running with a hitch," but he's now a roster longshot.

Eagles signed TE Cornelius Ingram, TE John Nalbone, and WR Jeremy Williams to reserve/future contracts.

A victim of multiple ACL tears, Ingram spent the 2010 on and off the Eagles' practice squad. He may never stay healthy long enough to reach his once vast potential. Nalbone, a project, was the Dolphins' fifth-round pick in 2009. Williams shined in OTAs with the Chargers last season before disappearing in training camp.

Eagles re-signed TE Cornelius Ingram to their practice squad.

Ingram was cut by the Eagles in training camp. The former fifth-round pick is coming off a second ACL surgery and is lacking the potential he once had.

Lions worked out free agent TE Cornelius Ingram on Tuesday.

The Lions have two perfectly good pass-catching tight ends in Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler, so they're just performing due diligence in case of injuries. Ingram disappointed in Eagles camp this past summer while coming back from his second ACL surgery.

Ex-Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram cleared waivers over the weekend and is now an unrestricted free agent.

NFL teams are obviously aware of Ingram's multiple ACL tears, and his play on the practice field in Eagles training camp left a lot to be desired. In a best case scenario, the former Florida Gator will pop up on a practice squad.

Eagles waived TE Cornelius Ingram.

We suspect that Ingram will be placed on injured reserve, not cut. However, it's probably tempting for the Eagles to give up on Ingram despite his talent. A multitude of major knee issues make it unlikely he'll ever have an impact.

Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram (knee) returned to practice Sunday and hopes to play Thursday.

Ingram had fluid drained from a cyst on the back of his surgically repaired left knee last week. He remains a candidate for injured reserve.

Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram underwent a procedure to drain a Baker's cyst from behind his left knee.

Ingram won't travel to Kansas City for Friday's preseason game. The pass-catching tight end has had two ACL tears in his left knee and is a strong candidate for injured reserve. Clay Harbor has emerged as Brent Celek's backup.

The Philadelphia Daily News' Les Bowen calls Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram (knee, calf) "an excellent bet for injured reserve."

Ingram is having an MRI on his left calf -- the same leg in which he's twice torn the ACL. Bowen confirms Ingram "has not been able to run at full speed" in camp. The Birds could stash him on I.R. and see what he has left in 2011.

Geoff Mosher of the Delaware County Times has observed in Eagles camp that TE Cornelius Ingram "is not looking spry" in practice.

Philly.com passed along similar sentiment a week ago, and recent reports have rookie Clay Harbor overtaking Ingram for the No. 2 tight end role. Mosher has dubbed Brent Celek the Eagles' "most indispensable player on offense."

Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram "has not stood out much at all" early in training camp.

Rookie Clay Harbor is now the favorite for the No. 2 tight end job. He's more physical than Ingram, and the Eagles are going to want the better blocker to match with Brent Celek. The Eagles don't use many two-tight end sets, so neither player will have fantasy value barring an injury to Celek.
Wed, Aug 4, 2010 02:12:00 PM

Eagles TE Cornelius Ingram (knee) says he's "100 percent for the first time in a long time."

"I've had great (workouts) this summer, and I can't wait to get back at it," he said. Ingram didn't miss a single OTA practice and is on track to be the Eagles' No. 2 tight end this season. While he'll be hard pressed to catch many passes behind Brent Celek, Ingram will be an intriguing deep league pickup if Celek goes down. He was a seam stretcher before his knee injuries.

Cornelius Ingram (ACL tear) participated in every practice during OTAs this spring.

Ingram, who has shown good movement and solid hands, is "clearly" ahead of Martin Rucker and rookie Clay Harbor for the second tight end spot. He could see some time in two-tight end sets this year, but he won't be a fantasy factor barring an injury to Brent Celek.
