Browns OLB Quentin Groves has been arrested for solicitation of a prostitute.
Welcome to Cleveland. Groves, who just signed to a two-year, $2.28M deal, was allegedly caught in a sting. According to police, he responded to an advertisement and requested "full service" from an officer posing as a prostitute. They agreed on one hour for $100. Groves' court date is set for May 10. Browns agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.8 million deal with OLB Quentin Groves, formerly of the Cardinals.

Groves and new Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton spent last season together in Arizona, where Horton held the same position. Groves was a useful pass-rusher, compiling 46 tackles and four sacks despite starting just seven times. He figures to push Jabaal Sheard and Chris Gocong for snaps opposite Paul Kruger in Cleveland's 3-4 set.

Free agent OLB Quentin Groves will visit the Browns.

Groves has reportedly lined up a handful of other visits, but the Browns will be the team to beat for his services because of his connection with new DC Ray Horton. Cleveland was the only team linked to Groves before free agency.

The Browns are expected to show interest in free agent OLB Quentin Groves.

The number of free agents the Browns are expected to check in on is growing by the hour. With cap space to burn, it's clear Cleveland isn't going to be shy about flashing its money clip on the open market. Groves could be of particular interest because of his experience in new DC Ray Horton's 3-4 system.

Cardinals OLB Quentin Groves (foot) was a in a walking boot following Sunday's win.

According to the Arizona Republic, Groves has an injury "to the plantar fasciitis." If that's the case, it's a lingering ailment that will likely knock him out for the final two games. Signed away from the Raiders in May, Groves hasn't been a difference-maker this season, but also hasn't been a liability.

Cardinals signed OLB Quentin Groves.

With the relatively unproven Sam Acho and O'Brien Schofield scheduled to start at outside linebacker, the Cardinals are looking for experienced depth. Groves, a 2008 second-round pick, hasn't recorded a sack since his rookie season. He won't be guaranteed a roster spot.

The Dolphins are expected to host DE/OLB Quentin Groves on a free agent visit.

The 52nd pick in the 2008 draft, Groves hasn't recorded a sack since his rookie season. The Dolphins are considering a hybrid defense this season, so Groves' versatility could appeal in a backup role.

The Giants worked out free agent DE/LB Quentin Groves on Monday.

The G-Men like linebacker/defensive end hybrids, having had success with Mathias Kiwanuka in the role and used a second-round pick on Clint Sintim. Groves was the 52nd pick in the 2008 draft, but has had a nondescript NFL career. He's played in 63 career games, starting 22, and has only 2.5 sacks.

With Trevor Scott likely out for the season, Raiders WLB Quentin Groves could move to defensive end.

Groves played defensive end in his two years in Jacksonville, but he wasn't terribly effective. If he does make the switch, Groves would alternate with Matt Shaughnessy in the rotation at right end. Coach Tom Cable said the team could also look to see what's available in free agency.

Quentin Groves is expected to reclaim his starting spot at weakside linebacker after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Trevor Scott, who had been filling in, will move back to defensive end where he played in the first four games. Matt Shaughnessy will head back to a rotational role while Scott starts opposite Lamarr Houston.

The Raiders have promoted Quentin Groves into the starting lineup at weak-side linebacker, with Trevor Scott moving back to end.

Scott will be used as a situational rusher, operating with his hand in the dirt after posting seven sacks from the linebacker position last season. The move is a big surprise considering Scott's production at the position. Groves is bigger, but hasn't played the linebacker spot dating back to Auburn.

The Raiders announced Quentin Groves as a linebacker in their team release following Wednesday's trade.

The Raiders are expected to use more 3-4 alignments in 2010, and both Groves and Kamerion Wimbley fit in well as rush linebackers in the scheme. Groves was out of position at defensive end in Jacksonville's 4-3 scheme. This doesn't mean Groves' career will be rejuvenated in the NFL's wasteland.

Raiders acquired DE Quentin Groves from the Jaguars in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2010.

Considering the playmakers acquired this spring for fifth-rounders, the deal is a steal for Jacksonville. Groves, a 2008 second-round pick, has flopped in his first two seasons, managing just 2.5 sacks in 31 games. In Oakland, he'll compete for snaps in the nickel package behind Richard Seymour Matt Shaughnessy. Groves is unlikely to solve Oakland's pass-rushing problems.

The Twitter account allegedly registered to DE Quentin Groves indicates that he's been traded to the Raiders.

Groves tweeted an hour ago, "OAKLAND HERE I COME!" and changed his Twitter avatar to the Raiders' logo. Acquiring Groves, a situational defensive end, would decrease the likelihood of Oakland selecting Jason Pierre-Paul with the No. 8 overall pick. It would also amplify the Jags' pass-rushing need.

Beat writer Vito Stellino expects the Jags to part ways with OLB/DE Quentin Groves and FS Reggie Nelson this offseason.

Groves had trouble with the Jags' gradual switch to a 3-4 defense, and he spent most of the season in coach Jack Del Rio's doghouse. Nelson has regressed terribly the past two seasons, turning into one of the worst tacklers in the league.
