Texans signed OLB Quentin Groves.
Groves, 30, was cut by the Browns last month and had previously worked out for the Titans, Redskins, Patriots, and Jets. While the former second-round pick never developed into an impact pass-rusher, Groves is a serviceable reserve who excels on special teams. He has a legit shot at the 53-man roster. Free agent OLB Quentin Groves worked out for the Jets on Monday.

Groves was cut by the Browns last month and has also had workouts with the Patriots, Redskins, and Titans since. The Jets are banking on soon-to-be 34-year-old Calvin Pace and boom-bust Quinton Coples to man their starting edge rusher spots. They also seriously lack depth. Groves would by no means start, but he'd be a top reserve and contribute on special teams for Gang Green.

Free agents OLB Quentin Groves and LB Marvin Mitchell worked out for the Titans on Tuesday.

Groves, 30 next month, spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons with new Titans DC Ray Horton in Arizona and Cleveland, respectively. In Tennessee, he'd be a rotational edge player and contribute mostly on special teams. Mitchell, 29, appeared in all 16 games (starting ten) for the Vikings last season.

Browns released OLB Quentin Groves and LB Larry Grant.

Groves, 30 next month, recorded four tackles and two sacks across 53 snaps last season before landing on injured reserve with an ankle injury in November. Second-year OLB Barkevious Mingo will serve as the No. 3 edge rusher behind Paul Kruger and Jabaal Sheard. Grant was just signed last month.

Browns placed OLB Quentin Groves (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Groves originally went down in Week 2 and then came back to play in three more games, but his ankle isn't right. The situational pass rusher will undergo surgery and finish his first year in Cleveland with just four tackles and two sacks. Groves signed a two-year, $2.28 million contract with the Browns back in March.

Browns OLB Quentin Groves is out 4-6 weeks with a high left ankle sprain.

His absence will just mean more snaps for explosive first-rounder Keke Mingo behind Jabaal Sheard and Paul Kruger. Groves is an injured reserve candidate.

Browns OLB Quentin Groves (ankle) will not play in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Vikings.

Groves was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot Wednesday. It's a chance for first-round rookie Barkevious Mingo to excel once again. Making his NFL debut in Week 2, Mingo had two tackles, one tackle for a loss, one sack and one quarterback hurry while playing just 25-of-72 snaps.

Welcome to Cleveland. Groves, who just signed to a two-year, $2.28M deal, was allegedly caught in a sting. Browns agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.8 million deal with OLB Quentin Groves, formerly of the Cardinals.

Groves and new Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton spent last season together in Arizona, where Horton held the same position. Groves was a useful pass-rusher, compiling 46 tackles and four sacks despite starting just seven times. He figures to push Jabaal Sheard and Chris Gocong for snaps opposite Paul Kruger in Cleveland's 3-4 set.

The Browns are expected to show interest in free agent OLB Quentin Groves.

The number of free agents the Browns are expected to check in on is growing by the hour. With cap space to burn, it's clear Cleveland isn't going to be shy about flashing its money clip on the open market. Groves could be of particular interest because of his experience in new DC Ray Horton's 3-4 system.

Cardinals OLB Quentin Groves (foot) was a in a walking boot following Sunday's win.

According to the Arizona Republic, Groves has an injury "to the plantar fasciitis." If that's the case, it's a lingering ailment that will likely knock him out for the final two games. Signed away from the Raiders in May, Groves hasn't been a difference-maker this season, but also hasn't been a liability.
