The Dolphins have been in contact with free agent OG Kyle Kosier.
Kosier is 33 and coming off a rough season in Dallas, so hopefully for the Fins' sake they're only viewing him as a veteran-reserve signing. Kosier does have ties to the Dolphins' organization, specifically to GM Jeff Ireland. Thu, Apr 5, 2012 09:31:00 AM

Cowboys released RG Kyle Kosier.

The move saves Dallas $1.55 million in cap space. Kosier, 33, will be replaced by the recent signings of guards Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau. Kosier was due $2.25 million in base salary prior to his release.

The Cowboys will reportedly decide RG Kyle Kosier's future with the team after the NFL draft.

Dallas signed Nate Livings to starter's money just after landing borderline starter Mackenzy Bernadeau on Wednesday. Kosier could be moved to center or released to save $1.5 million.

Cowboys RG Kyle Kosier is believed to have sustained an MCL tear in Week 17.

Kosier would have been out for the playoffs, but the Cowboys don't have to worry about that now. He started all 16 games at right guard this season and is under contract through 2013. Kosier will not need offseason surgery.

Cowboys RG Kyle Kosier was forced from Sunday night's loss to the Giants with a knee injury.

Kosier did not return after going down early in the second half. The veteran guard started all 16 games for the Cowboys this season, but graded out negatively by Pro Football Focus. The 10-year veteran is set to make roughly $2.2 million in 2012.

Veteran Kyle Kosier has been moved from left guard to right guard.

The Cowboys want Kosier to help ease RT Tyron Smith in, especially with calls at the line of scrimmage. The move is written in pencil for now, though it could become permanent if rookie David Arkin impresses at left guard with Montrae Holland (back) sidelined.

Cowboys agreed to terms with LG Kyle Kosier on a three-year, $6.5 million contract.

Dallas obviously made the offensive line a priority, locking up Kosier and Doug Free to go with rookie Tyron Smith and center Andre Gurode. The Cowboys have tried to get younger at guard, but they haven't been able to find a better player than the 32-year-old Kosier. The front office is now expected to turn its attention to safety and defensive end.

Owner Jerry Jones and coach Jason Garrett both want free agent LG Kyle Kosier back in Dallas next season.

The team initiated talks with Kosier prior to the lockout, so there could be groundwork for a deal. The Cowboys have tried and failed to get younger at the position, leaving them with little choice but to bring back Kosier at age 32.

The Cowboys reportedly began extension talks with LG Kyle Kosier before the recent lockout.

The 32-year-old is set to hit the open market this offseason, and the Cowboys have no replacement ready to step in. While he's still playing at a high level, his three separate lower leg injuries last season have to give Dallas pause on guaranteed money.

There's a chance Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier (Achilles) will return to practice this week.

He's shed the walking boot, and appears finally poised to attempt a return. The Cowboys desperately need him healthy, as they have one of the league's thinnest offensive lines.

Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier has officially been ruled out for Sunday's Week 8 game against Jacksonville.

Rookie Phil Costa will try to hold down the fort, which is bad news for Felix Jones and Jon Kitna. The Cowboys have zero depth along the offensive line.

Cowboys Gs Kyle Kosier (Achilles) and Montrae Holland (groin) are not expected to play in Week 8.

With Kosier and Holland both out, the left guard job will fall to undrafted rookie Phil Costa, who filled in there Monday night after Holland was injured. It's bad news for Felix Jones, who is in line for a bigger workload with Tony Romo out.

Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier (Achilles) will not play Monday night, but he said he'll be back in the lineup for Week 8.

Kosier was injured against the Vikings last week and the initial timetable was for him to miss 2-3 weeks, but it sounds like he'll beat that. Montrae Holland will fill in for Kosier in the starting lineup.

Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier is out 2-3 weeks with a strained Achilles' tendon.

Kosier missed Week 1 with a knee injury, but had been healthy since. Veteran Montrae Holland, who has plenty of experience, will step into the starting role.

Cowboys LG Kyle Kosier suffered an Achilles injury against the Vikings Sunday and missed the entire second half.

Kosier left the stadium in a walking boot and is set for an MRI on Monday. Montrae Holland is a capable replacement should Kosier miss any time.
